Hello- quick stroller questions I need to double check on. According to the disney website stroller rentals are $10 a day:
Question 1) is this the same for double strollers?
2)can you still show your receipt throughout the day and get a new stroller if you lost yours, or left and came back, or switched parks?
3)I know at WDW you can pay a flat fee for strollers at the beginning of your stay that saves you a few bucks overall and saves you time from having to stand in line every time, is there something like this at DLR?
Thank you!

No doubles at all.

You can get a new stroller with receipt if yours goes missing, and you can take it back and forth to each park.

The multi-day deal doesn't save you money, but it sure saves you TIME! They give you a little packet of receipts for each day. Take the day's receipt out of the little envelope, walk to the person doling out the strollers, get stroller. You can save your nametag from day to day, or they'll make you up a new tag each day if you need. If you're nice to them you'll get a big smile, b/c they seem to get nasty attitude from people for some reason! (smiling at the stroller lady nearly made her cry, b/c people had been so rude that day)

I really wish that they would have the double stroller at DL because it would have saved me space in my car when I had to bring my double stroller with me.

bumbershoot-
there aren't double strollers at DLR? Really? Oh, I don't know what I was thinking then:) Where do I get my book of receipts for strollers, just at the stroller rental place on my first day? or can I buy them in advance from somewhere?
Thank you so much!

You'll wait in line that first day, and ask for the multiday deal (they have signs up "ask about our multiday deal" or something like that, LOL). You'll pay, and it's a small manila envelope that has the main receipt, then daily papers that you show. Super-easy.

If you have a Disney Visa, though, you can get 2, I think, strollers per day for free. Still have to wait in line, I believe (no multi-day for that, as far as I know), but free is fun. :)

youre awesome! You seem to know so much about DLR, how often to you go down?

All my knowledge is recent. :) We did one-day trips from my brother's in San Diego for two years (one day per year) so I know about the quick trips. Then last September we took a trip that involved Paradise Pier and HoJo, and we took our own stroller, and we did that on a package deal AND upgraded to APs, so I know about those things. Then we took a trip in December solely offsite, NOT bringing our own so I know about THAT (so painful to carry a 3 year old to the Anabella when he's wiped out!), and that's when we did the multi-day stroller rental. Then I did a solo trip in late January, so I know about THAT!

And we're planning a trip for DS's birthday starting Mem Day weekend, which is something I never thought we'd do (go at a crowded time) so soon I will know about that!

(oh and I'm trying to get myself to the ladies only trip in late April, LOL)

All of these trips are severely curtailing our trips to Oregon, though, which is painful! We love Oregon! (got married in Hillsboro at a McMenamins property, even though we have never lived in OR, don't have relatives there, etc..."destination" wedding for everyone!)

Do they run out of strollers? We have the Disney Visa, and it would be great to use their stroller but I would hate to assume that there are strollers, and get there and not have one.

During the time you are going (this weekend), I wouldn't suspect that they will run out. I have only heard of them running out during super crowded periods like between Christmas/NYE.

I frequently get the free stroller and have never had them run out. Of course, I don't go at high crowds level times (AP holder). If we are going to be at DLR for more than a few hours I still get a stroller but it's more for carrying our stuff, than for DD to use.

Few FYI about the using strollers at DLR:

1. Do hold onto your receipt as there are some people we will take your stroller if they have a need for one. I have never had this done to me, but I have a cousin who has admitted to me that she has taken one, a time or two, when her kids were younger and getting tired. :confused3 She never did this with me, and I wouldn't have tolerated it! :scared1:
2. If you leave the parks area and head into DTD, you will have to leave your stroller at the security check point. No Disney strollers are allowed into DTD. You can either remove all your items (inc. your name placard) and then when you return grab one that's waiting there (that's empty) or if they've been moved, you'll have to go to the stroller rental again, and show your receipt for a new one. Or you can leave some of your items in the stroller and hope it's still there when you return.

3. If you are leaving Disneyland after DCA closes, you will also have to leave your stroller at Disneylands gates, before you exit. Since DCA usually closes a few hours before DL, be prepared to vacate your stroller, and get out your stuff.

4. Never leave anything of value in stroller while on rides, etc. See reason #1 above.

A couple of years ago you could also rent strollers at Star Traders in Tomorrowland. They had a limited number there........not sure if they still do it. But you can't use your Disney Visa to rent them for free there. And I don't know if they do the multi-day thing either.

Does anyone know for sure if DL has double strollers, and does the Disney Visa freebie work for double strollers?

Thanks.

Are they still doing the Disney Visa free stroller offer? How exactly does it work?
