:surfweb: We are traveling to Disney in September. We have a small 1 year old (18 pounds) and I am looking for a recommendation for a stroller. We will be flying so I need something compact. :confused3

I love my macleran quest. I used it when I flew to wdw with ds last year. I then rented a graco for the parks from a babys best friend, along with a full crib, cd player , high chair. I oly used my mac for the airport(gate check) and around the resort, I used the graco for the parks(more shade, storage, cup holders) any question feel free to PM! Good luck!pixiedust:

I second the MacClaren name, but don't know the specific model we bought. It's the basic model without all the frills, but it worked great last year in the park. I did a lot of research and determined that MacClaren was worth the money. Not too heavy to carry. Good wheels and turning capacity. High handles for tall people. Good for older/taller kids that have outgrown the standard stroller ... my 2.5 year old daughter slept in it many times.

Check out the reviews on the Babies R Us website for the Wendy Bellissimo stroller. I haven't bought it yet, but it gets great reviews and a lot of the reviews say that they went into the store with the intention of getting a Mac and fell in love with this one for half the price of the Quest. The only negative I can see is that it only comes in blue and pink - no neutral colors. After much research this is the one I am going to get for our soon to be adopted daughter. I am just waiting on free shipping again.

It depends what you think you need. I think a snack tray is important for DS (18months) so the Macs are not my choice right now while he is still little. I have an older model Peg Pegero Aria but I may just go ahead and bring my huge Evenflo because we'll have a car and I don't need to worry about bringing it on the busses too often.

I love our Maclarens. But they don't. Have a tray. But so easy for travelling and on/off the buses and moving through crowded shops.

If you can travel lite they work well.

Congrats on your adoption. We adopted our DS and it was the happiest day of my life! We had waited sooo long for him. He is now 4 and we also have twin girls who are 3. Best of luck to you and your lil one!

Im not sure why so many people want a tray so badly on a stroller. In my 18 years of kids, I found that most of what is put on the tray is also thrown off. I just hand the kid a cracker or cup and they go from there. I have a Mac Quest for my DD10 mos and love it. I would take it to Disney with no problems. Last trip we took DD was only 3 mos and so I had to take the big bulky stroller. I wish I could have used the Quest then, but she was still too little.

I bought a Peg Aria for our trip last April, when DS was 17 mos. It was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. I really wanted a snack tray/cup holder for baby, and I wanted a lightweight, yet comfortable stroller. The Aria was all that.

I'll second that. I just bought an Peg Perego Aria stroller for my two year old son - because we are going to disney in January. It folds up compactly, is 10 lb, has a big, accessible basket, large hood/canopy and reclines to almost flat. It also has a tray with cupholder and a cupholder for the pusher. It had all I wanted and was under $100.00. I didn't want to spend a pile of money because he is almost "out" of strollering. I am very pleased and my son just gets in it for the fun of it. Hope that helps
