Hi! I have read the great suggestion of buying a stroller cover in case of rain. Where all can you find these? Also, do they make them for double strollers?(the ones that are double-front to back) Thanks!!

Yes they make them for doubles.

We got one for our single at Toys R Us in the baby section (we dont have a Babies R us but that is probably a great place to look too).

I have also seen them on Ebay.

HTH. We really got out $6 use out of the single one we bought. Much better than a poncho.

We purchased ours through babycenter.com, mainly because I live in the boonies and couldn't find anywhere near me that sold them.

Word of advice, my two year old twins FREAKED OUT when we put the cover on the double stroller. It was like a scene out of a low budget horror movie. Very, very, bad. In the thirty seconds I had it over them, they fogged the whole thing up and each tore a hole in it - and it was really heavy plastic material!

Maybe if we had used one when they were smaller, but it absolutely did not work for us! My DH and I each ended up carrying a girl under our ponchos, and just threw all our stuff in the stroller. They were much happier looking out of our face holes, which was better, I guess.

I'm sorry, Twingle, but you have me laughing so hard about that experience. I'm laughing because I can just see it!! Funny thing is I really hadn't even imagined the boys riding in it--just using it to protect the actual stroller seats and things stored beneath. haha So THAT'S why it's made out of clear material!

Yeah, my ds wouldnt ride in it either. We did MAKE him once, but it was pouring so he stuck his head out once and decided to go back in. Otherwise, if it was raining, we always had the cover on, but let him pull the front up so he could still see.

We mainly used it for covering the stroller when we went into sitdown restuarants and onto rides. It POURED during the lion king show at AK, and we came out to a dry stroller, unlike all those whose strollers were not covered!! We also used it when it was just sprinking to put the video camera under the plastic so it wouldnt get wet.

Generally rain doesnt last long there (I only remember one day in all my trips where it truely poured all day) but a soaked stroller can make a whole day rough with a little one.

Well now, I REALLY like the idea of keeping the stroller dry! Would probably work well for the little birdie accidents too!

bamaslp, it really was a funny situation! Did you ever see that movie from the 70's, "It's Alive"? It was EXACTLY like that! Four little hands twisted into claws just attacking the plastic. Yeesh. Did I tell you is reeeallllyyy helped having the "It's A Small World" music in the background?

I purchased one of ebay brand new for our double stroller and it was pretty reasonable. We ended up not habing to use it, but just in case it is soo worth it!!

Rain covers can be a must at WDW (if there is ANY rain at all the entire time you are there.)

My oldest had a freak out experince too. She was 23 months old and would not let us put it on the stroller. We just let her get a little wet 1st and then put it on. She didn't like getting wet so she would let us use it, but we had to pull it up also if it wasn't raining hard.

On this past trip our youngest just found it as something fun to lick. It was pretty funny.

If it is a rainy day at all, leave the cover on the stroller when you go into an attraction. Often it is fine when you go in, and dumping rain when you come out. Also even if it is out of the rain when you leave, CM often move them. Sometimes out of a covered area.

Target, Walmart and other places also carry them.

Thanks! Could not find one in WalMart yesterday. I did find one on ebay for just 2.00 with 4.00 shipping. Great Deal. Just two things--The picture on the package although it shows a double stroller, my stroller seems longer?! And then I need to make sure they can mail it tomorrow so that I will have it by Thursday's mail.

One time I went into 50's Prime time to eat. Was sunny when we went in and poured while we were eating, the stroller was useless after that

I bought a double stroller cover at Babies R us Years ago. used it hard and It is still in great shape. Was a wonderful investement for me. folded up small and I stuck it in bottom basket. You never know when you need to cover everyting at Disney. My girls would love being inside the "tent" have them snacks underneath etc. when it would ease up a little pull the front up so they could see and attached it to visor on stroller so it was still covered but they could see also if it started clearing. I was jealous of their dryness

Does anyone know if the double stroller cover will fit over the double strollers that you rent right at Disney? The one in the picture looks like it only goes over a front to back double stroller, not side by side. Should I invest in one or are my chances of it fitting over the stroller once there slim?
Thanks!

I know that on ebay there were both kinds for sell. I don't know if it will fit the ones at Disney, but I know that they had the side by side doubles and for jogging strollers. I ended up buying one off ebay for just under $10 which I think is a good deal--and I didn't have to leave my home. hahaha

We got ours online from the same place we got our Mountain Buggy Urban Double since they are oddly shaped. Far better than cheaping out and using raincoats or plastic tablecovers with clothes pins. Ours had a velcro "door" that we could roll up or down so the kids did not roast or steam up. May have prevented the flip out too. We also got two fans from one step ahead and attached one for each of them. Lots of comments on how smart we were. Not really...it blows hot air. Duh! What was I thinking. May have helped a little. I would say not to buy them from one step ahead because of the price and quality. Had to tape them closed.

Do they carry " normal" shaped ones too? I really want a durable one -and I love the idea of being able to roll up the front. (and who are "they"?)
