This is my first visit with a stroller.

I'm thinking of leaving my designer diaper bag at home and using the cheapo one from the hospital and just leave it on the stroller so I won't have to remove it every five seconds we go on a ride.

Do people leave diaper bags on strollers???? I also have a Skiphop bag, would it be safe to leave that one on a stroller? I can bring either one. I really love my Skiphop, but could part with the freebie bag in a heartbeat!

Regarding strollers, I have an Inglesina Zippy and Maclaren Quest. Which would you suggest would be a better stroller for WDW? I'm considering the Zippy since it's more comfy and my DS will only be 10 months at the time.

Anyone have any stroller tips???

Thanks in advance.

I used a backpack as a diaper bag in wdw, it was easy to grab and go, easy to carry baby and bag and very easy on and off the bus/tram etc.

I did leave the diaper bag on the stroller but never with anything of value, usually diapers, sippies and snacks etc. I have never had anything in or on my stroller touched.

Sometimes the CM's will re-arrange strollers or move them forward closer to your exit during the ride so don't panic if you don't see it immediately. I used a bright colored bandanna to tie around the handle for easy and quick spotting of the stroller.

For a 10 month old I would take the most comfy stroller, make sure it fully reclines and invest in a stroller fan if your going during a warm/hot time.

goofygal531, I plan on leaving our Skip Hop attached to our Mac Triumph on our upcoming trip. I do plan on taking out valuables and just leaving the basics in the bag. It is too much of a pain to clip on and off all the time...although, I suppose for meals and longer attractions I'll clip on the strap and take it with us.

I mentioned this on another thread, but I'll share again - I added a counterweight to the stroller so that it won't tip over if we leave he Skip Hop attached. What I did was I took an ankle weight and wrapped it around the footrest portion of the stroller. On the Triumph you can even still fold it and lock it when it is on! Not sure if you'll need it on a Quest or Zippy (I'm not super "up" on my stroller models), but just in case!

I did the same thing with my ankle weights on the Quest!! Since DS is only 7 months right now, I don't use that stroller too often. DH prefers it for quick trips and uses the Maclaren mesh bag/cup holder thingy to hold diapers/wipes. I rarely hang a diaper bag over it.

I keep my Skip Hop on my Zippy at all times (we live in NYC and rarely fold the stroller). I agree it's a pain to unhook but such a great bag.

Glad to hear you have the same plan. Please let me know how it works out for you.

PS Don't you HATE how there's no snap on the canapy of the Maclaren! You can't attach the canapy to the stroller in the back, it just hangs open. DH got caught in the rain once and thankfully DS is so small he didn't get wet. One flaw I really hate with that stroller!

Hey, just noticed our son's birthdays are a month a part!

Don't forget to bring a cover for the stroller just in case it rains. You may go into a ride and the weather is great and the next thing you know it is pouring.

Have a great trip!

We've been going to WDW since my kids were small and I have never had anything touched on my stroller. I have packed a lot of "stuff" on the under side of my stroller which really made things easier, like rain gear, extra clothes, snacks, small ice chest, etc. Since there are literally thousands of strollers in the park on the same day, the best advice I could give would be to put something on your stroller to identify it easily, especially since the CMs do move them often. Be prepared to have to fold up your stroller for your boat ride from MK to the Poly, bus trips, tram trips, etc. which is a huge pain!! I much prefer to just pop onto the monorail where folding is not an issue. Have fun!

The rain cover should attach to the hood, so the hood covers the baby from the back and then the rain cover protects the front and you can snap it down around the legs if its really bad weather.

if by Canopy, you mean the hood itself, then that is slightly elasticatd, and it stays under the seat back when its reclined, and just hangs behind the seat when it's not reclined - either way there should be no rain getting into the stroller

This year I got smart....finally!

I wore a fanny pack to carry sm wallet, cell phone, keys, etc. That way I was only leaving diapers, wipes, extra clothing, etc in the diaper bag.

In the past I used to haul the diaper bag on all the rides with me. Now I just have to pick up DD and head over to the ride.

It worked out great.
