We are going to be down in Nov/Dec for 11 days. We like to rent a tandem sit and stand stroller which I was quoted 110 with insurance for 10 days. It seems they are renting the Graco roomfor2 Tandem. It’s listed on amazon for 120. Has anyone notice this phenomenon? and is it possible to buy a stroller and have it sent to the resort(not sure if that’s an option), I would only have to take it home I could sell it on offer up for half that and still save a ton of money. Just wondering if anyone has noticed or done this and knows something I might be missing.

I would first check to see if the resorts are allowing packages delivered? I thought some time back, that they stated that they would not allow deliveries... but things change daily so I would call for sure...

Why not just buy the one listed on Amazon, for 120.00, have it shipped to your house. then use it in the airport and such... Plus if you have a delay or if it is busy at the airport which it most likely will be, your kids have a place to sit or sleep... and you can store stuff, or throw all the carry on stuff in it and just push it through the airport, instead of lugging it all and trying to keep up with the kiddo's... Once the trip is over you can sell it, or donate it... or save it for the next time..

I suggest this as once we had 2 hours and 40 minute lay over, then a 4 or 5 hour delay due to the weather so we ended up being in the airport for almost 7 hours, and the airport was crazy... and Thankfully we brought the stroller with us, DH wasn't really thrilled about "lugging something else". I will say, that having a place for them to sit, and look at their tablets, books, and have some snacks and drinks and both did fall asleep, made it much more bearable than trying to hold them, and it gave them some space.... it was actually easier getting through the airport, they sat in the seat, we hung our backpacks over the handles, and they held their kid carry ons.. and we were off... DH was glad that we had the stroller, honestly I don't know how we would have survived it other wise...

You make a good point, LovesT. I might just buy it ahead off time, it won't save much having it delivered to the Resort and it might come in handy.

We're excitedly awaiting our first grandchild in the spring, and I just bought a stroller for our house -- bought it "gently used" at Once Upon A Child. I saw not one, not two but THREE sit-and-stands at the consignment store. Maybe this was unusual. I don't know -- I've been out of the baby-gear game for a long time. I don't specifically remember the price, but it was certainly less than $120.

I noted them because I wanted one of those when my kids were small and couldn't afford it.

We priced renting a double stroller once, before we owned one, and felt we could buy cheaper than rent. I ended up finding a nice double secondhand and we have more than gotten our money out of it. Renting would have been $100+ and I paid $100.

I am constantly seeing sit and stand type strollers on local BST sites and consignment sales.
