I need a stroller at WDW. 2 options
1. Rent from WDW--Pros: Don't have to deal with it on bus, monorail, etc.
Cons: Expensive, don't have it for the walk from the park to the bus.

2. Rent from Orlando stroller rental or a stroller swap---Pros: less expensive, have it for the walk from the park to the bus. Cons: I HAVE to carry it on bus, monorail, etc. No other option.

I can't decide if I want to have to deal with the stroller on the buses and monorail. What are your thoughts? On our last trip, it would have been nice to have the stroller for the walk from the park to the bus but I'm not sure if it would have been worth the haul on the bus. Please help me decide which to do.

Depending on which stroller you use, it may not be so bad carrying it onto the bus. I folded up my Triumph and put it over my shoulder with the strap and honestly it was really comfortable to carry that way. I didn't think it would be.

It probably mainly depends on how old your child is and if you think they would be okay walking from the park to the bus and from the bus to the resort, etc.

How old is/are your little one(s)? You do have the option of a stroller swap which is MUCH CHEAPER than orlando stroller rentals, therefore MUCH MUCH CHEAPER than renting from Disney.

If you have children who need strollers at home for regular outings, I definitely think you should have one that you can take out of the parks. You'll have a bag with you regardless I'm sure with a change of clothes for each child (if not diapers), and a camera, plus any souvies. I think it'd be nice to not have to carry all of that and a child from the park to the buses.

Look into the stroller swaps. You may decide the very low cost is worth lugging a stroller onto a bus. I am participating in a swap this year for DS because his stroller is almost 3 years old and the wear and tear is showing...I don't want it destroyed before we don't need it anymore. The swap I am working with has a link in my signature if you're interested.

Here is the strange part. My kids are older, 10 & 7. (64 and 54 lbs.) My 7 year old MUST have a stroller. She gives out easily. My 10 year old, who is the same size as your average 7 year old, still likes one occasionally. I think I could get away with a single but sure as I do, I know that 10 yr.old will be sitting in the 7 yr old's lap. Then, would I be able to push the stoller or would it just collapse? This should be a no-brainer question but given the ages of the girls and my knowledge of how they are, I'm struggling with a decision. Choosing a resort was easier than this.

I would seriously look into a stroller swap. The stroller I'm swapping will accommodate kids that size/age and it's only $10 for the whole trip. Many people in the swap are there because their kids don't use strollers at home but WDW is a whole other story.

When are you going? There are 5 strollers connected to my swap that you could very well find your dates. And, many have recently cancelled out because they postponed their trips.

Is the lap bar on the front of the stroller permanent or can it be removed and then put back on? That would be sort of inconvenient for the girls climbing in and out of the stroller. May dates are May 26 - June 2. Currently, #1 is the closest to my dates.

The bar can be taken off completely. In fact, I may leave it off for DS (2) because he likes climbing in and out on his own.

PM the swap leader Parkers*Momma and let her know of your dates. She is AWESOME to work with.

You're Welcome!

I know, it's awesome! I've learned so many things here (and I'm a Disney veteran).

How helpful is you SO. I ended up either holding both kids on the bus if we had to stand, or both strollers. I will rent one the next time and not deal with the transportation issues.
