Stroller Question?

I have to say thank you for all your wonderful inputs, I have been compiling all the must know info for my trip!!!

I am sorry if I am asking a question that has already been asked.

My stroller question...I remember I read somewhere if you rent DL stroller you can leave your stroller there, is that true? I was thinking of taking an umbrella stroller and renting on of theirs (free) with my Disney Visa card. I want my umbrella stroller in case they run out and also the walk before getting into the park. If they have sufficient strollers can I really leave it there without fear of anyone taking it? How does that work?

Second question what happens if you leave at say 12 and come back for a late evening (kids need naps), what do you do with the stroller that you are renting??? Do you have a guarantee you get it back since you rented for the day???

I am not sure about the storage of your own stroller ??? When we rented a stroller we would leave it at the entrance of the park, usually it was always there waiting for us. Just keep your receipt in case some one takes your stroller. They will give you another

We brought our umbrella stroller into the park, and then rented one of theirs with our Disney Visa. We parked our stroller in a stroller parking area and it was fine.

Brilliant idea! Our umbrella stroller was too lightweight to use very much with our heavy 5 year old, but it would be good just for getting to and from the hotel! You could use yours for just the first hour or so, until the lines at the rental counter die down.

If your stroller is a cheapie, I doubt you'll have problems with anybody walking off with it. Tie something weird on the handle (like a clear plastic bag with paper stuffed in it) it's a psychological deterrant to taking it.

If you leave the park and come back later, just take your nametag out of the rental stroller and save it. When people leave the park many of them leave their rental strollers right by the security station in the Esplanade. You can grab one of those abandoned strollers and put your nametag in it and you're all set. If for some reason there's none there (there were always TONS when we were there on Spring break!) you can definitely take your stroller rental receipt back to the rental place, show it to the CM who hands out the strollers (no need to go back through the line at the counter) and they will hand you a new stroller.
