Stroller Question

What do you do with the strollers when you go on the rides? Will the ride attendant hold them off to the side where you get off?

They have stroller parking areas at the rides or around them. Be sure to tie a bright colored bandana or something similar to the handle. All the strollers look alike and you will be able to pick yours out fast. Strollers are great for the tired little ones, but it also gives me peace of mind. I don't worry as much about them getting lost or distracted when they are in the stroller.

It's funny how different kids can be. We went back in late Sept/early Oct and my DD had just turned 3 in August. We rented a stroller from www.abbf.com and they delivered it to our room. I think we used it twice during the whole 9 days we were there. She walked EVERYWHERE. I'm bummed about not needing one when we go this year because I like somewhere to put stuff and hate carrying it. But I'm not going to rent a stroller this time because I know she barely used it the last time. Plus I figure if we decide we need one, we can just buy a cheap umbrella one while we're there!:thumbsup2

My dd is 6 and after renting a stroller for 3 years we bought the nice and sturdy lightweight stroller they sell in the parks is i slike an umbrella but wiht a top. I think is is easier to just plop her in it and get from one end of the park to the other faster.

I think it all depends on the child. I took my DD when she was 1 mont away from being 5. I can't even remember the last time she was in a stroller, and I no longer even owned one. She walked the whole time. She did have some feet issues with blisters, but refused to rent a stroller.(she has horrible feet and at age 14 now, she wears an 11:eek: ) I am taking our stroller this year for my 2 yera old DD. But DH thinks she won't need it.???? Of course she will. Thats alot of walking, even for a energy packed kid.

One question I have is, when you get o nthe buses, don't you have to fold down your strollers? Some of you make it sound like you might walk right on with them. Maybe I misunderstood.

When we were there last summer we had to fold down the stroller in order to ride the bus.

All Strollers Have To Be Folded Down. I Know From Experience That Some Are Easier Than Others To Fold. I Have A Cheap Graco That Folds By Pushing One Clip And Opens With A Jerk Of Your Wrist. The Best Part Is It Weighs Less Than 5 Pounds And Carries A 40 Pound Child.

DD was 4 in December our last trip. We flew and opted to rent a stroller (did the length of stay rental). This proved to be the best option for us. We didn't worry about someone taking it. We didn't have to lug it onto the bus. We didn't have to lug it onto the plane. She had plenty of room. (She's getting to big to be comfortable in an umbrella stroller). Disney gives you a tag with your name on it to put on your rented stroller so you can find it. I will definitely do this again this December. While she refuses to get into "her" stroller at home, she couldn't wait to get into her "Disney" stroller at the park.

I wish the people that were on our bus knew this.

We rode the bus several time with our kids on our lap or standing up (even my DD(4) had to stand one trip) because people with huge bulky strollers would not fold them and/or move over to make room. Sorry, this just makes me mad.

The inconvenience to other guests on the Disney buses was one reason we did not use the Disney buses and used our own car when we took our own stroller when DD was younger -- DH refused to inconvenience other people on the bus with all of our baby gear.
