I have 2 DDs. When we go to Disney, they will be 18 months and 4. We will def. have a stroller for the youngest. I was wondering if we should bring a double (my mom has one I can borrow) or just the single. I know my older DD will want to walk at least 90% of the time and it is a bit of a pain to cart around a double if it's not needed, but the 10% she doesn't want to walk is a concern. She can get really heavy. Thanks!

All I can say is DS5 has barely used a stroller since 3 yo. At Disney at 3 1/2 and 4 we used the stroller. Napped in it too and he hasn't napped since ~28 months old. When we go this Dec, shortly before his 6th bday, I'll have some type of stroller available for him. WDW is a whole different ball game. And we do Six Flags, Sea World, zoos, etc all the time.

Has the 4 yo done WDW without a stroller before. Because, like the other poster said, WDW is a whole other ballgame.

My three weren't in stollers very much when young, but at WDW, we always got one (a double). This past trip we had a single for DS6 for the first few days and then the rest he went without. He seemed fine but we didn't tour the parks as much as usual. I'm hoping he will be ok for this next trip.......last week of May there is the heat to contend with.

When we went last year my DS was 10 months and my DD was turning 5. She did fine with out a stroller. There was only one time she was getting tired and we just took DS out of the stroller and held him and let my DD ride in the stroller. Also during the parade my DD wanted to sit in the stroller instead of sitting on the curb, I guess it was more comfortable for her. I would think pushing around a double stroller would be too big of a pain, but that's just my opinion.

Another vote for a stroller. Even my very energetic 6yr asks to ride. I say if you aren't a fan of whining, take an extra. Just a little umbrella that you can fold up and hang on the handle of the other stroller when not in use works well.

I really think your 4 year old will need a stroller still at WDW. WDW is so different then being home and going to the mall or even the zoo.

It's BIG, you'll want to get your money's worth and stay and try and fit everything in, and the heat gets to them too.

I used a double stroller till my oldest was 5 or 6. She was out of the stroller (but jealous of her younger sister) at age 7 at WDW.

Even now, if we do MVMCP or MNSSHP and are staying late at MK, my older DD wants a turn in the stroller.

I think you will get a lot of use of your double stroller at WDW.

Thanks everyone. She's not been to Disney without a stroller. The last time she went, she was two. I am so excited to go back. My DD is a priness FREAK!!!

Airline broke the stroller we took from home. Used1 for 3 yr old 1st day. By second day -rentedan extra double for 6,9,11,and 13 yr olds to take short turns from all the walking. I jog and belong to a health club and I wished I could have one for maybe 15 minutes or so evey hour or two. LOL

I would definitely bring a stroller for your 4yr old, as others have said, WDW is a lot of walking. My dd hasn't used a stroller at home since she was 2½, but we're going next month for her 6th birthday and I will be bringing a stroller for her. She didn't use it much last time in the parks when we were there when she was 4, but when she needed it, she really needed it, especially in the evenings. I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it! Hope you have a great trip!

Wow, I am thinking I had better bring an extra or plan to rent one for my DD who will be nearly 5 (like the OP, my two DDs will be 18 mths and 4 when we visit in May). I just bought a Combi so that it would be easy for the buses, trams, etc, but now I am wondering if I should bring to old Evenflo for the older DD. I heard some rentals are better than the old ones, anyone have any input on that? Can they recline for napping?

My DD was 4 last time we went and a stroller was a lifesaver - we got one every day, and she is VERY active. We actually expect to end up getting her one in the afternoons now while she's six if we don't take a hotel break on some days.
