Leaving so soon.....I can't even sleep. I was up at 4:00 AM this morning & couldn't fall back asleep (guess what??...this is the first time my 8 month old DD has slept thru the night w/o waking in over a month....& I woke up at 4:00 AM & could not go back to sleep)....ughhh....this trip will be the death of me.

Anyways.....back to the question....

I'm taking a 3 1/2 year old DD & a 8 month old DD. I do have a double stroller (Graco duoglider??) & a few regulars {singles} (graco travel system, umbrella, etc).

Which one should I take? Before the new baby..I always took the Graco single travel system. It was big & always a pain to fold...so I usually stayed at a deluxe with monorail or boat access & avoided trams & buses like the plague....

Now...I have 2 kids to take to WDW...:Pinkbounc .....anyway....

I'm staying at WLV & BWV so I will pretty much have boat access everywhere that I want to go...MK during WLV stay & then Epcot & MGM during BWV stay....

Should I take that HUGE double stroller?

Otherwise...I could take the single & let the little ones take turns in the stroller (I'll bring a carrier for the baby). I was thinking that there would be times when the double would really come in handy, but I'm worried about the weight and/or manueverability in tight spaces....

We're driving...so I could see if both will fit in the SUV...but my MIL is coming & she is the luggage Nazi & I know I'd pay dearly for even trying.....{She feels that it is her job in life to tell me what I should/should not pack on every vacation---i.e- She never lets me bring more than one bag per person....UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES }. :D

Ughhh...I can't decide.......HELP!!!

Any help would be appreciated ::yes::

I don't know if renting strollers is out of the question for you, but here's what we did last year...

When we went our boys were 3.5 and 17 months. We took our own umbrella stroller to use for our 17 month old when we were places outside the parks, and also in MGM (which is small enough that our 3.5 yr old could walk the entire time). And then at MK, Epcot and AK we rented double strollers. This worked very well for us. It was worth the rental cost to not have to bring our big double stroller from home.

If your 8 month old is completely sitting up on her own, then the rental strollers should work fine for you.

I'd head down to Toys R Us or similar store and pick up a light double umbrella stroller. Kolcraft makes a reclining one for about $60. It would be easier to push in tight spaces and weigh a lot less!

I'm still trying to figure double to take and the new baby isn't here yet!

Good luck!

Thank you! Thank you!

TinkBoo&ElliesMum.....I have an 'Ellie' of my own....born 6/13/03...she's a little devil....I can already tell. Born on Friday the 13th no less.... :D She's a mommy's girl though. My little princess:

Congrats...best of luck....and ENJOY!!!

Ellie is actually Amelie but Belle is having a hard time saying that one! So she talks to my stomach and calls her Ellie :D

Belle is my devil baby - she looks all sweet and innocent then her true attitude shines through! She's a princess: and a half! She's our just returned home from DLP present :smooth:

Good luck on your trip!

We have this umbrella and LOVE it. It survived three weeks in Europe (including scaling a Swiss alp) with a 3-yr-old and 5-yr-old in tow. If it can do that, it can do WDW in a heartbeat! We LOVE the rental strollers at WDW, but we didn't start using them till our kids were over 18 months, so I don't really know how well they'd work for the baby.

Thanks again everyone. LEAVING TOMORROW!!! yeah.....

TinkBoo&ElliesMum....Belle sounds like Ellie. Must be '2nd child' syndrome.
:D
Best of luck on your new arrival!!!
