Stroller or Backpack?

My kids are 7 and soon to be 9 - we are going to Disney - we dont plan on bringing a stroller this year. However, when we went last, they were 4 and 6 and we used the double strolller quite a bit - they fell asleep in it, took breaks in it, etc...

Well, my husband said no way this year are we bringing a stoller, but now I'm wondering.... where will we put all of our stuff??? We used to use the stroller to attach the backpack with stuff to - and used it to haul extra stuff around.

So, he said he'd carry a backpack, but wont that be worse than a stroller? I mean, at least with a stroller you can push it around - and even if our kids dont use it, we could attack a backpack to it like we did in years past??

I dont know what to take now..... or where to put our "stuff" without having a stroller.

So I'm looking for suggestions or advice on what you bring into the parks, and how you bring it in.... where do you put it when you go on rides, etc... We are spending most of our time at Magic Kingdom while there....
And what do you put in your backpacks? And isn't it a pain to carry those on your back all day?

I'm just so used to having the stroller with me...

Thanks in advance for helpful tips...

Just what stuff do you need with kids that old that wouldn't fit into a small bag?

There is another thread going right now about what you put into your fanny pack that answers this. Because really with kids these ages you don't need much!

We always have a backpack. It's not a pain to carry around but can make your back hot. We carry around our camera, camcorder, anti-bac wipes, autograph books and sharpie, sunscreen, a little bag with Advil, chapstick, and stuff, my cell phone (I never carry in my pocket and need because DH & I always lose each other), and kid's sunglasses (sometimes they want them, sometimes not).:)

My kids are 6 and 8 and We are planning on just taking a backpack, I agree Stollers bog you down even more and last time we were there we had stuff stolen off our stroller and it was a PAIN to get through a crowd. In my backpack I will have my camera, wipes, bandaids, moleskin, ziploc bags, sunscreen, autograph books, pens, cell phone

I also will have a lanyard on with our KTTWs and Fast passes as well as cash and CCs.

DH and I will take turns with the backpack and that way our hands our free and getting through crowds will be easier.

Thanks for all the advice.... I was just thinking maybe I should bring in waters, and things to mix with water for drinks.. and some granola bars for snacks... in addition to sunglasses, video camera, camera, lotion, tylenol, immodium (JUST IN CASE) - things like that....

But how do people bring in lunch, and stuff?

And how much are lockers?
