Hi,

We just got back from our first trip home to BLT and loved it! Being able to walk to the MK was great, and the view of the fireworks from the hotel was fantastic! With that being said, we are going back in July with friends, and staying at VWL. I am wondering what experience everyone has had with wheeling a stroller right on to the boat from VWL to the MK. Can you do it, or do you need to collapse the stroller? Does it depend on which boat comes, or is it always the same type? We got spoiled by being able to wheel DD onto the monorail and not have to wake her up, so I am hoping it will be almost as easy with the boat! Thanks!!

There are stairs going down into the smaller of the two ferries that go the MK from WL. On the smaller ferry, I'm pretty sure they asked parents to fold up the stroller. Besides there wouldn't have been enough room unless they did.

I can't remember about the other ferry. Sorry.

There are two different boats that service the MK from WL. The bigger boats you can wheel a normal size stroller on, so long as the boat is not really really crowded. We did this all the time when our kids were little. The other smaller boats, which service the Contemporary from WL & sometimes the MK have steps down onto the boat and a very small aisle. You cannot roll a stroller onto these.

I can remember pushing our double stroller right onto the MK ferry. As the other posters have said, you definitely have to fold it up on the smaller boats.

We just came back from VWL and we took the larger yellow ferry to the MK. There were plenty of strollers that people rolled right on and off. The others are correct about the smaller boats that are used from resort to resort. There isn't enough room for an open stroller. Have Fun :)

There are 2 kinds of boats. We were allowed to roll our stroller on the larger boat. For the smaller boats, you need to fold them up.

The boats to the MK are not always the larger with the smaller being used for resort to resort. This past summer we had a smaller boat many times for the MK and with 2 strollers we folded it a lot! It is all luck in what boat you get. But, it is still a million times better than taking a stroller on the buses...........
