Stroller for storage

I am debating this as well, as we'll be going with a (just turned) 4 year old and 7 year old. Do you think the 4 year old will need the stroller? Any thoughts on bringing a stroller vs renting one there? If you rent it, do you get to take it out of the park? Staying at the Polynesian.
We went 2 years ago and the kids were 4 and 6 and didn't have a stroller. It was great not to worry about it and the kids did great.

That's good to hear! We are worried about our six year old.

They will be fine. We waited until the kids were that age, because my son is 7 now remembers very little from the trip at 4. We found that it was gonna be a waste of money if they aren't going to remember the trip.

Does your then-6 year old remember the trip? Our will have just turned 7 and now I'm wondering if it's too early...Probably a different thread, but just curious.

Our six year has been to WDW. She doesn't remember it, but my husband and I do and we had priceless memories and photos from that trip. That being said, we will probably go again when she is older. Her older sibling went at about age six and barely remembers the trip.

That is why we have waited over 2 years to go back. I laugh when I see these parents having babies, like really who is the trip for. I love Disney ,but like other places also. So after this we will probably not be back for some time. We have a tone of places we want to visit.

We are indeed mostly taking a stroller for a storage place. However, my 8 year old often get migraine headaches and I could not carry him to the car if he get one, and 3 out of 4 trips to the MK he has gotten one. I also love having sandwiches for at least one meal. We do not enjoy the process of ordering lunch in the park. Having a place to keep cold drinks is REALLY nice. I just got rid of our city mini double and replaced it with a single to mostly hold the stuff until unless we have an emergency.

I was thinking about getting a Joovy sit and stand to take w is during our week before Christmas trip. We went in March and rented a double CitiTrend from apple strollers and my 7 yr old dd wanted to ride when she would get tired but it was hard to push and collapse and was so wide since it was a side by side. My son is 3 but will b 4 by then but is small for his age. Was wondering if the Joovy would b a good buy for the trip and if I would b able to use it much longer after the trip.

You will love being stroller free! I went with my then 6 yo DD last summer with just a small backpack and it was great! We leave later this week and will go back to a stroller as my 2.5 yo DS is joining us.

My husband was about 6 or 7 on his first trip (his only trip as a child), and he remembers some parts of it (he's in his mid-30s now)

My 9 year old son could remember some things from when we took him when he was 5 (He went at 3, 5, and now 9).

I did some research on memory as an undergrad. When looking back, people's first memories are usually around age 3-5 (but they usually retain little before age 5), 5-10 are more memories, but there is a reminiscence bump around age 10-30.
