Stroller for soon-to-be 7 year old??

I agree with you Disneymomx...if someone needs or wants their older child to ride in a stroller I say go for it! Whatever makes everyone happy! If you are at WDW and concerned about someone's children riding in a stroller then you have too much time on your hands.

By the time we go back my son will be 8 and I am going to let him ride a stroller to keep him from getting too tired and whinning and to pack our junk. If someone gets offended at my son riding a stroller they'd be better off keeping it to themselves. LOL

My almost seven year old would DIE before she'd be seen riding in a stroller! As for water bottles, etc., we aren't pack mules. We use the water fountains. Our family rule: If it won't fit in a fanny pack around your own waist, it isn't coming into the parks with us!

MrsPete - Your daughter sounds like mine! She is almost 11 now but she was 6 almost 7 during one trip. We felt that if she was going on the "big" rides - RRC, SM, Tot, etc - then she was big enough to walk! She completely agreed with this and never asked to ride. She loved the rides too much. Each situation is different but our kids have all been ready to walk at 5 or 6.

I'm going to play that one by ear. My daughters will be 7 and 5, and well, frankly, I think the 7 year old is too old for a stroller. Plus, I don't want to be the one who has to push it! LOL HOWEVER, if it comes down to crankiness and whining, it may be worth it to just push it to keep them quiet! heehee! I wouldn't rule it out completely.

We have been to WDW twice since my son turned 7, and he has needed one. He likes to walk but he gets tired and lags behind a little and it keeps him in a better mood if he can sit back, play with his mister fan and relax a little. We always rent one. I love the WDW strollers. They are super easy to push and big enough for him.
