stroller for big kids?

Based on all of the recommendations we also picked up a Volo for our DD5. We've used it three times at zoos and a festival and I love it! DH is 6'4 and he has no issues pushing it, unlike the cheapo umbrella stroller we picked up last year at WM. Our Target had them on clearance and we picked up the gray/black one, the money saved versus renting at the park was factored into our decision to buy but now we've discovered it's a wonderful stroller that we will use a lot more than we initially thought. We usually just take a wagon to the zoo, but the Volo is so much easier to just leave in the back of the truck and have whenever we need it.

check out the budget thread for stroller 'swaps'. it's cheaper than buying and a lot cheaper than Disney!

I just got a maclaren volo on ebay today thanks to you all!!! its a brand new 2007 model.. for$52 orange and gray.. my 6 year old son can use it for disney then ill have it for my 1 year old daughter!! thanks everyone!

The stroller price increase is definitely a bummer. At the new prices, it makes sense to purchase a new or used one. I'd check Craigslist, eBay, and garage sales. And if you have a rental car, you could always go to a local big box type of store to buy a cheap stroller for the time of your stay and then leave it there when you're done.
