Okay so we are getting ready to leave on Tues for WDW again and so far every trip I was brought my Maclaren mesh umbrella stroller and I love it. Last trip dd just turned 4 and did use it a lot to sit and take a drink during the day and even at night when she was getting too tired. It folds up to almost nothing.

Well I am not sure I should take it this time. We always take early afternoon breaks and since we are doing the DDP, we will be at a table service meal once a day as well. I figure the girl can walk not a problem but we have been used to her hopping on when she starts to slack off and we can keep moving. This time though I am 7wks preggos so I may be more tired then her :teeth: but then again, I don't want to carry her either even though DH will be there to help. It isn't that big of a deal to check since it is an umbrella stroller but I am not sure if almost 5 is too big at this point.

If I had any doubt, I would take it. You can always just park it and leave it inside the park.

Have a great trip!

I would just take it. I would think after the first day you will have a better idea if you need it or not and if not, then you can just leave it in the hotel room. This way you will at least have it handy if you decide it is something your dd still needs. Oh and I'm sure you'll see lots of kids in the 5-7 range still using strollers there. Quite common!

hth!

I would absolutely take the stroller. Our last trip was with another family and we had a 5, 7, 8 and 10 year old. We would rent a stroller (esp. at night) and if a kid or two was not in it the camera bags, packages, etc. were. I've had a stroller for a child the last three trips. It has been used for plenty of things beside the child!

My DS will be turning 6 the week after we return from WDW. I bought a Mac Volo just so we would have a stroller that could carry him. I know he'll walk most of the time but he will be tired in the evenings and I just can't carry him anymore so it's easier to have a stroller for when he needs it. I say bring the stroller because it isn't that hard to travel with it and you'll be thankful to have it if you need it.

I would also say bring it. We just got back Wednesday from a week long stay in Walt Disney World. My daughter just turned 5 and my son just turned 2 so we have a sit and stand. My daughter walked about 90% of the time, but when she was ready to sit, we were happy we had it! It is very hot down there now, so its nice for them to sit have some water when they need to. My daughter is a little bit of a wanderer too, so at some points were like, "get in the stroller!" LOL! Have a great time!

Another vote for the stroller. WDW can be exhausting; none of us really walk as much normally as we do there. DD8 last rode in a stroller when we were at WDW for her 6th bday. She would have ridden at 6.5, but her "big" cousins were with us, so no way. I miss having a stroller--to keep our loot in especially. If you don't need it, you can always park it and then leave it in the room on other days. Enjoy!

I say you will be much more tired than she will be. Don't bring it . We didn't bring or rent one for our newly 5 yr old and he did fine. We were at the parks form opening till closing and many nights that was midnight. Kids have as much energy if not more than adults. If she doesn't use one at home why would she even expect to use one at Disney unless you suggest it.

We are going in September and bringing our Mac Quest for our 5 1/2 year old. At the end of a long day, he does use it - sometimes even falls asleep in it! I think you should bring it. Have a great trip.
