Debating whether or not to drag an umbrella stroller when we go. DD will be about 3 1/2 but with all the walking and getting tired out it would be nice to just let her crash out in a stroller but I really hate to drag it all over if I don't have to.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

I am certainly not an advocate for strollers for older children, but for a 3 1/2 year old......definetly!

it's a must. We went with a 3 year old last year and to help get around the crowds. We didn't always take it everytime we went to a park, because we were not going to be there for long (Hollywood Studios) but it was a must at the Magic Kingdom because of the size of park.

Good to know! Thanks!
She was oly 18 months when we went to Disneyland Paris so of course she was in a stroller then but that place is also much smaller than WDW.

I'd abosolutely take a stroller for a 3 1/2 year old. There's no way I'd go to Disney without one. I even specifically bought a sit n stand for our trip last Sept., so my DS (6 at time) could sit when he needed a rest. We'll be taking it again this year for my DD (2) and DS (7), I personally like it just for the fact in crowds or at closing; I can make him get on the back and I know I have everything and can just concentrate on moving through the crowds, instead of trying to make sure he's with me and also able to navigate through. Have a great trip, but take the stroller.

YES! We just stopped using the stroller this year as DS turned 7.

We used our higher weight capacity umbrella strollers for the boys on the last trip when they were 5. We were glad we had them!!

Yes, a stroller is a necessity. We have 2 boys, who are 4 and 3, and even though they LOVE to walk, they will need a stroller as they cannot walk all day long. They need to rest and nap, and for us the stroller is perfect for this.

I still take a stroller. My DS is only 2 and needs it and my DD is going to be 6 when we go this year and she still needs one. She gets tired and wants a break from walking....BUT this will prolly be the last year we take one for her.....

Yes, we used one last October for my DS who was 3 1/2. He definitely needed it!

Also, as a pp mentioned, it was also great to have in the crowds, as we would make him sit in his stroller so he wouldn't get easily lost among all the people.

This was the best part of using the strollers for us. The two little ones just hopped into their strollers whenever we were heading to another area of the park or entering/exiting. We were able to walk at an adult pace and we didn't have to worry about them wandering away or getting stepped on.

They also really enjoyed being pushed around the parks while they just sat back and took in the sights. :cloud9:

Great advice everyone, thanks!

I especially like the idea of a sit and stand stroller so my DS can rest too!

We are taking our 2 1/2 and 5 1/2 year old boys for their first trip in March. I can't imagine Disney without a stroller. My 5 year old complains that his legs are tired after only an hour of walking. I'm not sure if either boy will nap in the hotel so I'm hoping they might nap in the stroller. Since we didn't want to pack our double stroller we went with the Orlando Stroller rental company that everyone suggested on these boards. Their strollers recline slightly and are so much cheaper to rent than Disney's. ($85 for the week) It's also a jogging stroller so it looks much easier to push. See orlandostrollerrentals.com.

Hope this helps.

We are taking 2 strollers. One for DD(5) and another for DS(2). It's just too much walking for them to do. Just make sure that if you are staying on property and using the bus system that you get one that is easy to fold up and carry.

Have a great trip!!!

I just bought a Joovy Caboose sit and stand and LOVE IT. My son is 2 1/2 and my daughter is almost 4 1/2 and that will give her a space to rest if she wants to.

That's the *precise* reason we got our Baby Jogger City Mini last year, and exactly why we'll be keeping it through the end of this year (even though dd#2 rarely rides these days, we WILL be taking it to WDW in Dec). But, we LOVED that one quick pull and it was folded up and ready to carry on! :thumbsup2

My kids are now 13, 10 and 7 so no more strollers for us but man, do I miss them!! I loved being able to throw all my stuff in there with the kids, now I have to carry it:scared1:
