I know it's been asked several times before, but of course now I need one and can't find one! Does anyone know where I can get a stroller fan with foam blades? I found one at BRU, but it had plastic blades and smelled like electrical fire when I put the batteries in and turned it on!

I know you can purchase them at one step ahead (I think its www.onestepahead.com). I have several friends who have purchased them thru that company and they loved them!!

Hope that helps!!!

I bought one from One Step Ahead, and honestly, the fan barely made a breeze (well, it made a breeze, but in the HOT steamy air, it was pretty useless). We are getting ready for our next trip and I don't think I'm going to bother bringing it. Are you going in the summer? If it's really hot, the fan might not help much. One of those mister fans might be better in the heat.

THanks....those are actually both the same one...and the one I bought at babies r us and returned. I do have a mister fan, and a pocket fan. Hope that will do the job!

The fans are useless if you are going in the summer months, it just blows hot air. We bought 2 for my double stroller for our june trip (from Walmart) and they didn't help keep my kids cool. They did work, however, in line for rides because for most , you are in AC and the fan helped get the kids cooler, faster, but that is it. I reccomend buying a mister fan and freezing it the night before or putting ice cubes in it because that REALLY will cool the kids down. They are bulkier of course and use mroe battery power but more worth your effort.

I have the Walmart/onestepahead fan. It works well in the shade. I am looking for a misting fan that is attachable to a stroller. Does anyone know where I can get one? The ones I see are all handheld or tabletop or have a strap for wearing around the neck.

The most important thing is to line the stroller with light colored blanket and put another one over the shade if it is dark. I also would freeze those gel packs to put under the stroller blanket and a wet wash cloth to wipe the baby down.

We also tried the stroller fan and it wasn't effective but if they were sleeping the hum worked like white noise.

It also depends on the age of the baby and the month you are going. We always went in June so these things were super important along with nursing a lot.

i got these at CVS for $6.00 a piece...they clip on great to the front tray of our pegpergo double wide stroller if they are sitting up and on the canopy if they are sleeping.

also like liltx says...we use the gel ice packs too...my youngest daughter has a real over heating problem so we have to watch her very closely....i pat her down with wet towels at bathroom breaks too

I bought one from a shop in Epcot last year - Mickey Mouse themed but it was rubbish. Battery died very quickly and it didn't really give a breeze at all. Also it was expensive. Going to get a cheap one and try the ice packs.

I bought the same fan from CVS, except it was from a camping store online. I thought it worked pretty good for my 8month old last year. It may not have been the coolest breeze, but at least there was some air circulation for her. I also had one for my 3 year old on her umbrella stroller for her, and I didnt think it worked at all for her(I just clipped it on the side of it). Maybe it had to do with the type of stroller? I clipped the thing on the sun shade of my smaller child, and it really seemed to help her, but my bigger kid not so much... She would have done better with a mister fan for sure. Hope any of this helps. Just my 2 cents!:)

I use the one posted above from CVS (but I have seen it at other stores as well). It works great!

I have looked in a few CVS's & Walgreen's. Haven't seen that one. I will have to keep searching!

I looked up the website that I bought the same fan from the post with the picture, and it was campmore dot com... I hope that helps. It was like 6 bucks. I did buy I think one extra just in case one broke or something. I dont think shipping was too bad. I never found them anywhere else local. Hope that helps. Oh, you have to look at camp supplies or search clip on fan in their website engine.

We used this fan at Disney last year and it worked great. I'm a huge fan of O2cool fans now. We bought ours at CVS. I just found a bunch of personal fans at Walmart - to inslude the mini misting fan.

Just a heads up. While the fans are really handy, be careful if it doesn't have
a "cage" around it especially if your child has long(ish) hairOur DD got her hair caught in hers!:scared1: Ouchie-wa-wa!
