Stroller combos for 3 Kids?

Our kids are 2, 4 and 6. Our plan is to rent a double stroller(which we did last year also), but we are also planning on taking our little umbrella stroller for the airport and just in case. Last year, the two older kids were both pretty wiped out and were taking turns b/t each activity on who got to ride; especially on our long days that did not include a break.

So, you had your single umbrella from home and the rented double in the parks with you every day? I will have to make sure I make the rental pickup at a different hotel than drop off.

Went in Sept. for 7 days in a row(1waferpark then 6 park days). Had a 6, 3(almost 4) and 1 y/o. Took our double. The 6 y/o walked the vast majority. He got a few piggyback rides and switched out riding while the 3 y/o walked at times. Overall, he did great and would not have wanted a dedicated stroller for himself.

I loved our double Maclearn for our trip. It worked perfectly with a 4 year old and nearly 2 year old. I was able to buy it for $100 used so about the same as renting. Also I used our Ergo for lines for rides with my at the time almost two year old. I would put her on my back so that she wouldn't be running around and trying to break loose while we were waiting. It made waiting so much easier.

I LOVE our double Maclaren as well. We specifically bought it for WDW buses. I know the city minis are great but all the dads with the minis are so envious of us because it folds up so easily and is super compact. For instance, I held a sleeping 2 year old on one arm and basically broke it down with just one foot. People behind me said wow that took talent. I said nah, I've had lots of practice!

Another vote for the maclaren double! I'm bringing ours with a buggy board attachment for my three (6, 4 and 23 months), also bringing the ergo just in case everyone so happens to want to nap at the same time. Anyone use those backpack type leash things for toddlers? I've never had to use one but just thinking about how big and crowded Disney can get, I'm definitely intrigued by the idea.

City Mini Double $320 http://www.albeebaby.com/baby-jogger-city-mini-double-2012-crimson-gray.html and a single is $160 http://www.albeebaby.com/baby-jogger-city-mini-single-2012-green-gray.html

Go to a baby store and try out a few different brands and try pushing the kids around in them before deciding on purchasing or renting a certain brand.

I took my niece when to a baby store and tried out a few brands and found that Maclaren strollers made her shoulders push forward like an umbrella stroller and the Perego P3 she had her back flat and lots of room. It also came with a lot of extras for less than the most expensive Maclaren.

We love our Phil & Ted's double stroller and put many, many miles on it. If you think you'd use the double stroller for your two little ones a lot at home, then you might consider looking for one and then using it at WDW.

If you do not anticipate having much use at home in the next couple years, then just rent a double while you are there. There are lots of off-site places that folks on these boards frequently use and they aren't very expensive for a very nice Citi Mini double.

For your 7 year old, I would suggest Not bringing a second separate stroller, even for the day at EPCOT. It's too much of a hassle to manage multiple strollers along with 3 kids. Between carrying the baby occasionally and the 3 year old wanting to walk some, there are enough options for the 7 year old to ride when tired.

We recently returned with our 4 and 5 1/2 year olds. We took our double, but the 5 1/2 year old walked 70% of the time. Mostly, we had him ride when we wanted to move quickly from one place to another or when it was really crowded and we wanted to keep careful track of where he was.

Have a fun trip!

I agree with this. We own a double stroller but only because we wanted one for home use too. If that weren't the case, I would rent a double city mini and bring the ergo. If the 7 year old wants to sit, you can wear the baby during that time. I would think for the most part the 7 year old will walk.
