When you take the boats from your resort to the parks or other resorts, please take your children out of the strollers. Wheel them onto the boat, leave them all "loaded" with your stuff, but take a few seconds to take them out and hold them in your arms or sit them next to you.
If the boat was to have an accident and sink, it would happen so fast, you would not have time to remove your child from his/her stroller. The stroller would be at the bottom of the lake in a flash.
I certainally don't want to tell anyone how to raise their children, so please don't take offense.
Sometimes we get such a feeling of saftey and comfort while at Disney, we forget to take precautions that we would take anywhere else.
We used the boats at least 2-3 times a day during our last trip. I saw so many small children left strapped in their strollers. I was a little saddened. Boating accidents can happen to any boat. Who would have ever thought the Staten Island ferry would have such a terrible accident. I've lived in the NYC area since 1984 and have ridden that ferry several times. I don't remember any accident.
Our children are just to precious to risk.
Again, please don't take offense, I only want to offer a suggestion to those who may not have "realized".
Thanks so much,

It all happened so fast. Luckily, he was just scared.........no bumps or bruises. They are precious cargo for sure.
(my ds(6) is looking over my shoulder and asked me to put the Pirate on here too!)
