1. Can we bring our own strollers into the resorts/parks or do we have to rent them?

2. Are there any inconveniences with using strollers?

e.g. do they fit into the monorails, boat taxis, restaurants etc.

Thanks,
Adam.

Yes, you absolutely can bring your own stroller into the parks. There are some size restrictions, but in general, the average size stroller is definitely allowed.

Inconveniences with strollers are mainly that you have to park them outside of the attraction, and therefore have to retrieve the parked stroller once you exit the attraction. Sometimes the CM's will move the strollers around to maximize space or move strollers out of non-stroller parking areas. You may have to look around a little bit to find yours. Strollers are generally not allowed in restuarants, with exception if the child is asleep they will usually allow you to bring it in.

You can roll the strollers right onto the monorail and most of the resort boats. There are some smaller resort boats that may require the stroller be folded up. Strollers must be folded before entering a bus, tram, or the train @ MK.

edit to add: here's the stroller FAQ from allearsnet. It may answer more of your questions on this subject.

I would say to bring your own. It doesn't cost that much to rent but it does add up in the long run AND you have to be there early to get one as well as wait in line to pick one up and bring it back(depending on what time of the year).
I would bring my own :)

We rent from a stroller rental company - they deliver and pick up from the hotel, cheaper than renting from the parks AND my kids liked them better. Even the double stroller popped up and down pretty easy for bus rides and we loved rolling it onto the monorail.

We use Orlando Stroller Rental but there are other companies as well.

Keep in mind if you rent a stroller, you can only do so INSIDE the parks and at DtD. When at your resort, on transportation, etc.....you're on your own!

I'd say bring your own, hands down.

Definitely bring your own!

I bought McLaren Volo for my trip last year and it was the best purchase. I used it again for my trip last week.

It was very easy to travel with, folds us quickly for boats, monorails, and buses and you can carry it on your shoulder with the carrying strap.

BRING!! This way you have it in the airport, around the resort/hotel, when you kids fall asleep on the monorail etc. Most of the time you can stroll right onto the monorail & don't even have to fold it up. My dd is 6 & I still bring her stroller and dread not having one. It is so convenient to hold our snacks, drinks, bags etc.
