I rented a double from OSR and it has that nice storage area underneath. We are planning on staying out at the parks all day and I was wondering if we put some hoodies and other things in the storage area, is it a real pain to get it folded up for buses? Will I have to take everything out and then put it back in later?

I believe you will have to take everything out of the stroller to fold it - at least you do with every stroller I have ever owned. And you will have to fold the stroller every time you get on a bus but that would only be twice a day if you stay at the parks all day and don't park hop.

We were able to leave stuff like hoodies/small blankets in the basket underneath when we rented from OSR in February. You can't over stuff it, but if you have a few small things, it will fold no problem.

I'm not sure if you're familiar with those strollers, but if you are looking at the stroller while it's open, you pull up a strap in the crease where the bottom of the seat meets the back, and it folds like inside out so the basket part gets squished in between.

The strollers are VERY easy to fold! THat was my favorite part. Waiting for the buses we left DD in there (4 mos at the time), just loosely buckled. We had no problem taking her out & folding up in 2 minutes while we waited for the bus to unload.

Thanks for the comments.

I have never rented a stroller from OSR nor have I used that brand so the additional folding information was great to know. We weren't going to pack it full, just some hoodies and maybe so other smaller items.

We leave Saturday!! I am starting to get excited!!

Ok. This may be answered in another area but I dont know where to look. We just got back from POP in October and we took advantage of bounceback and we are going back Sept 25-Oct 3. We are staying at Riverside this time. My stroller question is that when we go this next time the two younger ones (6 and almost 4) will still get tired and want to sit, but we do not want to have to lug our big double stroller with us this time. Any feedback on those sit and stand strollers? And where can those be purchased at? Is there are swap set up for something like that? Help! I know it is early to be planning but I I just dont want to wait until the last minute. Thanks everyone for your help!

Do you have a small backpack that you can put the sweatshirts in? That way you're only having to take one thing out of the basket to fold the stroller.

I always try to put anything I want to "store" in a bag of some sort so that I can quickly grab it out and hold it when getting on the bus, or if we were going in to eat and I thought we might need it. It also makes it a little safer, because when everything is loose and someone goes searching through the bottom they sometimes accidentaly knock something out that you don't realize.

We rented a double stroller from OSR in October and it was the greatest stroller, I highly recommend them. On the question of keeping jackets in the stroller and folding them, I do not advise this. I had two kids on my own and needed to get them and the stroller on the bus in a timely manner. The problem was, if I had anything in the bottom of the stroller it would close but not "lock", the best way to explain this is that it would open itself up while we were riding on the bus until it was almost covering the entire walkway. I quickly learned that I needed to clear it out completely to get it to close smaller. I also made the mistake of leaving a few small things in the back pockets, which ended up falling all over the ground in my haste to close the thing and get on the bus with the kids.

All of this was user error, my fault, in the end the stroller and I were at peace with one another but it took some learning on my part.

FYI - OSR also rents rain covers for an additional $10 - first come, first serve. They are made for the stroller and saved us a few times. The kids can ride under the clear rain guard and you can keep going. :cool1:
