Stroller as wheelchair on a Disney rental?

Past trips we have brought our own stroller and got the stroller as wheelchair tag for it. Now that DS(Autistic) is 6yrs old and seems comfortable not needing the stroller now we like to try and go stroller free and not bring it at all on this very short trip (3day). If this turns out to be a bad idea can we use the stroller as wheelchair tag on a stroller rented from Disney? I told DH about the outside company rentals but he would like to stick with disney's rental even tho we wouldn't be able to take it out of the park.

I can see why not if that is what your Son needs and you do have the out side venders if needed

Yes, you can get a SAW tag on a rental, whether it's Disney's or an outside agency.

Would I have to get a new one each day since they are like magical express tags and tape together thru the handle or is there a way to be able to reuse it?

You would need to get a new sticker each day since the stroller is turned in before you leave the park.

Also note that you would not be able to use it to get to or wait for buses. So if you often used your stroller as a safe space while waiting for the buses in the morning or evening then that would not be an option as in park rentals are traded in before you leave the park.

You probably already realize this, but I wanted to mention that if you decided to rent outside the park instead of in, I think you would only have to do the sticker once and whatever that entails. Based upon everything I've read so far, I believe people can keep those stroller=wheelchair stickers for much longer than 3 days (and it would be cheaper!) But of course, totally up to you.
And if these errands at the park is anything like getting a DAS (or in the past, GAC) it can be pretty time consuming, especially if you have do it every time you enter the park. Just some other things to consider. But only you know what's best for your family! Have a great time!

It is correct that a length of stay tag for stroller as wheelchair will be issued if you bring in a stroller (your own or an outside rental),

I have rented a stroller from Orlando Stroller rental for the past 3 years since they are more comfortable then pushing the wheelchair around and not having a canopy for shade. They deliver it to our vacation home and pick it up at the end of the trip. It is also very reasonably priced. I paid about 90 dollars for a 7 day rental. I had the tag dated for our entire vacation at the park and it was not a problem at all. So if you want to try to go without a stroller, you can always go quickly to the rental office (off Irlo Bronson Memorial) and pick one up. Plus you can have him sit in different models to see what he needs. It is soo much better then bringing your own from home.
