Stroller as a Wheelchair for Parent's Needs?

I'm planning my first trip with my baby girl for April...she will be 17 months old at the time. I use a walker but when I go out with the little one her stroller acts as my walker. I need the walker because I have severe balance issues (fall frequently and with no way of knowing when it will happen) and to take weight off my left leg because I have severe pain in it due to RSD. I've done Disney World with the walker...even did it with the walker and being pregnant last September...and those trips have been wonderful. The stroller not as good as the walker but we tried out several hundred strollers prior to her arrival to find one that had enough stability and a bar at the right height that it could serve the same function as the walker for me. I cannot walk for as long or go as far with the stroller...but frequent stops to rest help and I'm realistic about my limits when using the stroller.

My question is...do you think that they would provide the stroller as a wheelchair tag as a reasonable accommodation so that I could bring the stroller into the queue with me? I can't take more than a few steps without the walker/stroller...especially not carrying a baby. I'm very excited about this trip...but am worried about this one issue.

What are your thoughts?

I think it will depend on if it is just the two of you ( as you can not use a walker and a stoler at the same time if some one else is coming with you I do not think your chance will be that good. but I would defiantly ask at GR it can never hurt

It will be just the two of us...forgot to mention that in the original post. Thanks.

I have never had them ask me why I need it. They just hand me one and off I go with DS.

they are supposed to ask, so you not getting asked is not the usual practice.
They might not ask if it's obvious - like an older child in a special needs stroller.
Expect you will get asked for an infant or toddler since if it was easy to get for them, most parents of smaller kids would want one.

They've never asked us either. We've requested one at least a dozen times and they immediately got out the sticker with no questions asked other than how long we were staying so they could write it on there.

I think that if you ask nicely that they will give you the wheelchair tag with the stroller. during a Disney trip I took a wile ago, my mom wanted to go on tower of terror. I took the "chicken exit", which leads to the end of the ride, and waited for my mom there. They will most likely do that with the stroller. Just be ready for some difficult turns with the stroller while on cue. I hope everything goes smoothly in the end and have a fun trip!

would it help is to have a collapsible cane with you and use the handicap entrances not the regular que?

I'm not sure that I understand this. The OP will be travelling alone with her daughter. So there'd be no point in going through a "chicken exit" as no one would be riding (unless, I guess, the OP just wanted to walk through a ride line).

For Tower of Terror, we ride with my very brave daughter who uses a wheelchair.
A stroller bring used as a wheelchair would be handled the same way.

We are in the line with the wheelchair all the way to boarding. As long as the stroller of not wider than 30 inches and not longer than 48, you will be able to follow the same path as wheelchairs.
After we load our daughter onto the ride and the elevator door closes, a CM takes the wheelchair to the exit. It is waiting there for us when we get off.
