Finding myself in a very simlar situation I stressed out and looked into this way too much. I am not a fan of the large and bulky graco duo glide. We also wanted something for everyday use, but to take to WDW. (DD#1 will be almost 4 and DD#2 will be 7 months in March 2005 when we go next.)
After trying many out and surfing the web we narrowed it to a frount back (Evenflo, take me too) and a side by side (Peg Pergo Aira Twin.) The benift to the Evenflo was we could use our current carset carrier with it around town, not having to take the baby out. It is a bit lighter then Graco and is rather comfortable. It turns well and for a frount back it is a good choice. It is rather enexpensive (anywhere from 100 to 130)

There are two models out there, this is the cheaper one. It rates very well in reviews.
The other choice Peg Pergo Aira Twin is light, rolls and pushes like a dream, is comfy for the kids and is much smaller. It is wide, but only about 4 inchs wider then a front back tandom. It folds down nicely and I think looks very nice. It had bars across the frount that open and a basket under it. Also it does not have a middle set of whelles like the combi and McClaren doubles do (that you tend to hit with your feet while walking). I like that it has one bar across the back, not double handles. One adult cup holder. Only 14 lbs.

I wanted them both, but Hubby said no. I ened up with the Peg Pergo. The one in the end that I liked better and I felt would do better at WDW. I also was thinking. What is harder, getting the baby out of the carseat, or lugging the big one in and out of the minivan? So far getting the baby out of the car seat hasn't been too much of a bother and she is growing out of it fast anyway.
I ordered it on line to save 30$ I had a horrible time with strollers4less.com . In the end I ended up canceling my order and placing it with a runningstroller.com (it cost 2$ less and when I asked what would be a good rain cover for it she sent me one for free!) I am very pleased with their service and recomend both the stroller and company to anyone.
So far I have found, the canapies are useless, but otherwise it is a great stroller. Both the baby and 3 year old are very comfortable in it (I place a head support around the baby for now.) It folds down well and fits in the car with room for other things. You can get canapie extenders, but they cost 70$, and I think the 300 is alot to start with, but it is worth the money in the end. I haven't had too much of a problem getting it through doorways, but you do have to do it just right to make it fit, takes some getting used too.
