String's Atkin's Journal (Please Comment)

I just have 5 minutes then I am out the door. Disney on Ice was great. It was problably the best one I've seen. Katie had a great time. She is very proud of her stitches because she didn't cry from the shot or stitches. No problems.

Today I am headed to the Y for cardio. We are then going on a picnic in the park with a friend and her son. This is the monster child, but I couldn't avoid it. Then a trip for ice cream. Katie will nap. PLEASE!! I need top start laundry and figure out dinner. I also have to pack for this weekend. Laundry first though.

I'll be hitting journals periodically throughout the day.
Have a good one,
Beth

No binging last night, even though I stayed up after the show. Now I just need to do that again tonight.

Hi Beth, sorry to hear about your husbands job, hope you are feeling better too, these things are sent to test us!!!!
Hope you enjoy your weekend, i like my comforts too, but maybe it will do you good to have a change of scene.
Take care xxx;)

Which Disney On Ice show was it?
I think we are going to see the Nemo show in October.
I have seen Snow White and Princesses. They were both really good.

Hi Beth!

Oh I am so sorry to hear about Katie's stitches! OUCH. :( What a big girl for not crying during the shot and stitches! I have a 38 yr. old BIL who had to have a tetnus shot this past summer. He took one look at the needle then hit the ground like a safe. :faint: What a strong young lady you have! princess:

I'm glad you had a good time at the ice show--you certainly deserve some family fun! And good for you for not binging last night--nightime's always the toughest time for me. When I eat late at night, I wake up with such a yucky, stuffed feeling and swear I'll never do it again. But that never works 100% of the time. Why do we continue with the behaviors that cause us these not-so-pleasant consequences?

Have a wonderful Thursday, Beth! :sunny:

Hi Beth...

Hope Katie gets better. What a big girl she must be. Glad you and your family had a good time at the Disney show and you did so well not cheating. Keep up the good work!!

Teresa

:wave2: Hi Beth,
Oh, poor Katie. I'm sure you are proud of her for being such a trooper. I really hope that you have a nice weekend. I know you will make the best of it :D . Think of it as an adventure ;) . And look on the bright side. At least you'll have indoor plumbing. That's one thing I have vowed never to do without again :o !

Take care of yourself  .

Beth, I'm sorry to hear about your husbands job. I'm sending prayers that things will work out alright and that he will be able to stay close to home!

Poor Katie, she's learning early that boys are icky! I hope she mends quickly!

I'm glad you had a good time at DOI, I've been to one of their shows and I really enjoyed it! ::yes::

I hope your day went well.

Hi All,

I'm not sure that I will make it back here until Sunday. I didn't weigh in today. I know I am up, and I had a blt last night, so I am retaining water. If I am over next week, I'll relinquish my clippie. I was good last night, so I think I have things back under control. I hope.

I'm headed to the Y today for weights and cardio. I will make my exercise challenge. I'm pretty geeked about it.

So today/Saturday is Y, lunch, nap, work 12 hours, come home and shower, head to Oscoda, go canoeing, dinner, bonfire. All before sleep.

I have no control ovwer food this weekend. To top it off, I'll be tired. All I can do is my best.

I'll be home Sunday evening. I hope to get to journals then. I am sending :sunny: :goodvibes  to all. Have a great weekend.
Beth

I forgot. The DOI show was Magical Journeys. The fab 5 on vacation in London and Hawaii. The shows were Peter Pan, 101 Dalmations, Little Mermaid, and Lilo and Stitch. This is Katie's 4th show. We're a little obsessed. She has seen the Princess show, the Jungle book/Tarzon, and Monsters Inc. We all agreed that this was the best. Little Nemo is supposed to be coming next.:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Poor Katie.:( How is she feeling today? She is such a brave little girl!::yes::

I am so glad that you had fun at Disney on Ice. :Pinkbounc

Have a great weekend!:sunny:

Oh Beth! You have had a rough week! to you my friend. I hope that the stress lightens up and you are able to relax a little more. You have had way to much going on lately. Try to take a day for yourself - I know it is hard - buy your needs are just as important as everyone else.

Don't worry about being on program - just go with the flow and when things settle down you'll get back on the wagon.

~Amanda

Beth, I agree with Amanda. Go with the flow this weekend. Try to let all the stress and busyness melt away and enjoy your time away. If you are tired and feeling yucky, pull Won to the side and let him know in no uncertain terms that you need him to actively take care of Katie so you can kick back and relax.

I'm sorry to hear that changes are in store for Won's job. I'm hoping the changes will be good ones. Change is stressful, even when it's a good change, and goodness knows your family has had enough stress lately!

Our little ones are so strong and resilient! Your Katie sounds like a true little princess: - handling her stitches with grace! I bet she'll be all healed up in no time at all.

Warm wishes are being sent your way for an easy shift tonight, a good time with your friends over the weekend and the disappearance of the Bloat Fairy that is visiting you!

Hi Beth! :wave2:

I agree with everyone else. No need to worry about staying OP this weekend--just do the best you can with what you have and you'll make out just fine! ::yes::

If anyone deserves to have fun this weekend, it's you, Beth. I know the outdoors isn't your thing (it's not mine either!:crazy2: ), but getting away from the mainstream may be just what you need right now. I so hope that you get some time to yourself to rest and rejuvinate--you've had some very trying times lately and you need to focus on you--if only for an hour or so. It's so hard to do though, isn't it? As a wife and mother, I'm sure you put your loved ones' needs ahead of your own (heck, I know if I didn't look out for everyone, things here would be in chaos!), but you really deserve some Beth Time. I really hope you get some!

Enjoy your weekend, Nature Girl! :teeth:

Beth, I hope you have a fun and restful weekend. Don't stress about trying to stay on plan, you have enough to worry about. Just have a good time and get back on track when you return.

Beth:

I hope you have enjoyed your back-to-nature weekend and I wish you a calm, peaceful two weeks while I'm away.

Katie is sure a trooper with those stitches...I don't think I could have been that brave. She is such an amazing little girl!

take care,
Laurie:sunny:

Beth -
I just wanted to pop in & congratulate you on meeting your goal for the exercise challenge!

Hi All,

I am glad to be back. The weekend was pretty good. If I hadn't worked Friday night, I would have enjoyed myself. I managed to get 45 minutes of sleep on the way there. Then we went canoeing for 2 hours, We went to dinner at a barbque place. It was good, but I was on such a sugar high, that I was talking a mile a minute. There didn't even have a green salad on the menu. I couldn't sleep until 11PM because of the sugar. Then I crashed until7 & when Kztie woke me up. Sunday we played on the beach and went shopping. I had an omelet for brunch with lc toast. I drove us home while Katie and Won slept. She then wouldn't sleep until 10PM, so that is when I managed to go to sleep. I am still loopy.

I went to the Y and did 3 weight circuits and 4 miles on the treaddie. We are headed back for Katie's swim lessons. Then naps all around. I hope to catch up on journals this evening.

Have a good one,
Beth

Hi Beth! :wave2:

WOW! It sounds as though you were really on the go this weekend--no wonder you're still "loopy!"

Great job getting right back on track with your exercise today, and I really, really hope you get your well-deserved nap! Someone once told me that that's how you know you're an adult--you actually *like* to take naps!

Have a lovely start to the week, Beth! :sunny:

:hyper: <------------ Beth on her sugar high! :)
