String's Atkin's Journal (Please Comment)

Beth,

I am sorry to hear about your mom's injuries. I hope she is feeling better soon.

Hi All,

Thanks for the well wishes. I will pass them on to my Mom. Don't worry, Won got the smack to the back of the head.

I'm moving mighty slow today. I just have no motivation. I think it is related to my menu yesterday. It was lc, but it was not focused on protein. i feel lethargic, fat, and bloated this am. I am back to basics today.

Meal Plan for the day...
B: Eggs and tea.
L: Salad and a ham/cheese rollup.
D: Some sort of chicken dish with green beans and salad.

Today's plan...
Laundry, I'm on my 2nd load.
Y for cardio and weights.
Hang out for the exterminator to come between 2-4.
fold above laundy, and a load from last week that was sitting in the drier.
Journals after Katie is in bed. It helps keep the munchies away.

I"m off to the Y, but I'm not happy about it.
Beth

Ok, I'm back from the Y. I did my 2 weight circuits and 30 minutes on the glider (426). Lunch has been changed to salad and 2 deviled eggs. I'm off to feold laundry. Sorry for being so crabby earlier.

Beth,
You don't have to apologize for being crabby! It happens to the best of us. Besides - laundry folding always makes me crabby... so does cleaning the house... waiting for workmen... cooking dinner... He he I better stop or I will look like I am crabby all of the time!

I hope the day goes smoothly for you and that you can soon return your house to its normal condition (meaning everything BACK against the wall!).

Hi Beth,

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom, and the missed exterminator apt. MEN!

So you weren't happy about heading to the Y, but did you return glad that you did? I find there are many, many days I head to the gym "against my will" but I've never left saying "gee, I wish I didn't do that today"!!!!!!

Keep it up, you are doing great!

Sunny

Hi All,

I made it through the day, and got everything accomplished. My house is now back to it's original state.

I am exhausted and going to bed. I'm sorry I won't make it to journals tonight. I am trying to gear up for the weekend. My schedule is Frday night 7PM-8A, Sat 4PM-430AM, Sun &7PM-8Am. I will be dead after doubling back Saturday night, but I needed the hours.
I'm sending :goodvibes: to all.
Goodnight,
Beth

Hi Beth,

I am so sorry to hear about your mom. How is she doing? I hope she is feeling much better soon!

Way to go getting your workout in even when you didn't want to go to the Y! :cheer2:

Please don't worry about journals. It looks like you have a long weekend ahead of you and you definitely need to get plenty of rest for work. :grouphug: Take good care of you, Beth! :grouphug:

How is your Mom?! I hope better! :grouphug:

Like everyone said, don't worry about being crabby around here!

It sounds like you have quite a schedule this weekend. I hope everything is calm for you! :grouphug: Thinking about you!

Well I weighed in today. 200.5. I am down another 2 pounds. Onederland is so close I can almost taste it. I really want it at next week's wi.

Plan for the day...
Katie goes to school, I go to th3e Y for cardio. edit: I did 45 minutes on the glider (612) I am happy with that considering my MP3 player died at the 12 minute mark.
Quick stop at grocery. done
Nap.
Work.

Meal Plan....
B: Scrambled eggs and tea.
L: Salad.
5PM: String cheese and cappacino.
9PM: ham and chees rollup.
1AM: Salad and SF Jello.
7AM: MS bar and tea.

My mom is doing well. They have made a new sling for her, and it is much smaller, so she is happy with it. She also says the pain isn't terrible, and she can work. Thanks for asking.

I'm off,
Beth

I am switrching the 9PM and 1AM meals. I completely forgot about Friday/Lent thing. Just got off the phone with my Dad. He gave me a huge lecture and made me feel about 3 years old, but I'll do my best, at least for today. I've never been a good catholic, and rarely practice. I have also never really understood the no meat thng anyways, but I agreed to do it for today. I know to expect a call from DF next Thursday as well.

Beth, I'm so glad to hear your mom is healing up nicely!

Congrats on making it through this week - it has been a real humdinger!! You made it, though, and you are down 2 POUNDS!!!

:cool1: :cool1: :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cool1: :cool1:
I can't WAIT to throw a Onederland party for you, girlfriend!! You have worked so long and hard and tirelessly on this and you're gonna make it!! I'm so excited and happy for you!! :cloud9:

I'm sending extra energy and :sunny: and :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for your weekend work schedule! It won't be an easy one, but you'll make it through. Now, before you go in tonight, make sure you make out a "honey do" list for that DH of yours for the weekend. He can do some chores while he's watching Katie! ::yes:: Put it in writing and let him know you expect it to all get done!!

 and :sunny: for your day and for a good shift tonight!

Hey Beth congrats on those 2 pounds gone. You continue to amaze me! :flower: I hope your shifts go by quickly. Try to get as much rest as possible. :cloud9:

I was brought up Catholic but am no longer practicing. My Mom called me on Wednesday to remind me it was Ash Wednesday I told her there was no need to remind me - I know when Ash Wednesday is! She was proud of me until I told her it is always the Wednesday after mardi gras. :rotfl: I'm sure my former priest are all rolling their eyes at the thought. I don't ever worry about the meat thing - there are so many other things that God can hold against me. :)

You've been doing great on the exercise and you are so close to Onederland! Just keep sticking to the basics and you will see those 190's before ya know it! :cloud9:

~Amanda

Yeah Beth!!! :cheer2:

Onederland is in sight for you!!!! We are gonna have a great party here when you reach that milestone! You can do it, Beth! :cheer2:

Have a great weekend!

You've got it girl!!!! Come on!!! We need to do some partyin' around here! Hope your shift is gong well! :sunny:

Beth:

I was sorry to hear about your mom's accident. I hope that heals quickly. The Lent thing is interesting in my family...Grandma's family was Anglican (sp?) prior to joining the Mormons and emigrating to Utah. But the eating practices for Lent continue...family tradition. I don't subscribe to any organized faith...but even DH and I avoid red meat through Lent...

Now onto onderland - I really think you have it already...but don't peak until you are ready.

-Laurie

Hi guys,

Well this weekend is horrible at work. Big surprise, huh  ? Our acuity has never been higher, we had a no call/no show, and one of our nurses got suspended in the middle of the shift for drug abuse. I am hoping she gets the help she needs, and keeps her liscence. I ended up with 4 vented patients last night. Healthy living hasn't been a priority. No sleep, and chocolate being available has led to a binge. We were actually overstaffed from 8P to midnight tonight, so I took myself off those 4 hours. Won, Katie, and I are just home from 11/2 hours of ice skating. We're headed to Ruby Tuesday's for a pre Valentines dinner. I will probably start journals tonight.

Plan for today/tomorrow...
Work.
Y for cardio, I'll take my workout clothes to work w/me.
Pickup Katie from school.
Pickup the house.
Make dinner.
Sleep.

Meals...
D:Ruby Tuesday.
10PM:Capaccino.
2AM: Salad.
8AM: Scrambled ggs and coffee.
12: salad.
Dinner: Beef stew.

I'll check in later.
Beth

Hey Beth - Sorry work stinks so bad for you. I know that is got to be so tough to stay OP when your stressing out like that.

Enjoy your dinner at Ruby Tuesdays!

I'm sorry it was so rough Beth! :grouphug: I have so much respect for what you do! You are an amzing woman and what you do is so important!

I hope today is a better day for you! :sunny:

:hug:to you on this Valentine's Day, Beth. I hope you've recovered from this weekend's work. Try to take some time for some fun today!

Erin :shamrock:

Wow you've been a busy momma lately! I hope you Valentine's Day is wonderful and that you get in some relaxation time today.

~Amanda
