OKay my loverly DISers, I'm here to tell you all about my fabulous trip to WDW. Marching down Main Street USA, while blasting out Songs in the Key of Life, and sitting in Epcot, playing the melodies of the Disney favorite, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The glorious trip of a 15 year old girl with almost all of her friends without their parents, enjoying the fruits of freedom, and the sweet nectar of WDW.
Only one problem... My plane doesn't leave for another 15 days! So this is my pre-trip report.
The Cast
ME!!!- LizzySwan1022, a 15 year old, sophomore trumpet player
PD112- My mom, a fellow DISer and Disney fanatic, also known as pixie dust 112
Mir- One of my room mates on the trip, this will be her first time in the world, as well as her first time on a plane
Chrissy- Another room mate, first flight, and went to the MK once.
Becky- you guessed it, my final room mate, she's been to the mutherland twice, and is also an experienced flyer
Mr. S- My band director
Mr. G- My other band direstor, he takes care of most everything, but conducts the more advanced band
The Calendar
August: Band Camp! Ah, the 4-6 six hour days eating up the last two weeks of our summer vacation. We walk in, and, what the heck? Why are there so many freshmen? The answer is soon revealed, it is a Disney year, they only need to endure one year of band to get their trip in.
September: Band continues as usual, many have decided that WDW is not worth it and have quit.
A jump into Doc's time machine and....
March:A mandatory meeting is announced, will this be the info we've all been waiting for? Will we know what flight's we'll be on? Who our chaperone will be? What days we'll preform? YES! All our questions are answered! But just so you have a brief excerpt of what Mr. G is like....
(the meeting is so full people are standing everywhere)
Mr.G: Students! Stand up!
*students stand*
Mr.G: Parents! Fill the seats that the students have so kindly given up for you!
*parents sit, students attempt to find space on the floor*
That pretty much brings us up to date.
As of right now I am the walking WDW encyclopedia in my group of friends, having gone over 8 times. I get the one flight without a layover, as I'm staying past the return flight home.
My next challenge?
Not to go stir crazy at ASMusic, knowing I could be in the parks because I have an AP, while the others don't. Wish me luck!
