*Strictly Come Dancing 2008*

Who would you like to see win Karen ? Austin, Tom and Rachel are my faves :thumbsup2

I voted for Cheri so I'm not too bothered now, Mandy. I liked that she was older and felt it would've been nice to have someone who wasn't a sports person or an entertainer win. ;) Apart from all that, I think Rachel is really talented and her dance last week was absolutely beautiful... :thumbsup2 Austin is good too and the girl that partners Matthew Cutler (can't recall her name  ) has really improved too... To a certain extent I like all those that are left so not sure who I'll vote for...

I really like Jodie. I didn't think I would as I've read unflattering articles about her in the papers but she has really surprised me - pleasantly. I think she comes across as nice and genuine and her and Ian just look perfect together.

Me too, aside from John I don't mind who wins now.

I just watched the Saturday episode with DD (if she makes good headway into her homework on a Monday night I let her watch it with me she's 5 and loves it).
I'd heard on the radio today who had been voted off  and after just watching it, I couldn't believe it. I'm with Nat's Mum - a joke's a joke but this has gone WAY too far.
In order, my preference to win are: Tom, Austin, Lisa, Rachel, Christina, Jodie....
I also think this is the best season by far, the winner is hard to pick:confused3

As an aside, one of the DD's schoolfriends' Mum is Lilia Kopylova's agent and although she doesn't gossip much she has said that Lilia can't believe apart from two (Austin and Tom) the results are all over the place more than ever and the John saga is a wearing a bit thin now....

Off to watch the results show now:)

I think they're missing the point there - IMO the public are keeping him in to pee off the judges! I agree John's entertaining but I like to watch the show for the dancing and I'm just disappointed that a great dancer has gone.

Which dancer that has been eliminated so far do you think wouldn't have been around for another week or 2 at best if John wasn't there? Face it, even though Rachel was in the danceoff nobody is gone who didn't deserve it. The only difference is people feel that one extra person who doesn't deserve it is still around but I agree with John 100% -- if they don't like the format they shouldn't have agreed to dance and judge by it.

Er OK. :confused3 Thanks for the benefit of your advice. TBH I don't have to "face" anything - it don't really matter to me all that much. Personally I would've liked to see Cheri dance a little more but whatever... :rolleyes1

We live in the USA but get to watch SCD on a 24-hour delay, usually we get to watch the results right after the main show. My wife also watches DWTS but we both agree SCD is head and shoulders above it's US counterpart. We're pulling for Austin Healy to win but we'd love to see John make the top 3 just to show the judges that the audience also has a say in things.

OMG, Philip on This Morning has just said that there are rumours that John has walked from Strictly ~ I really hope this isn't true :(

Damn the judges me and my bf are gutted he was much improved on last weeks dance as well.

I think it's a disgrace :( I didn't want John to stay in too much longer, but I didn't want him to be bullied out by the judges and James Jordan behaving like sore loser on It Takes Two (especially as John & Kristina were in the studio too)

Apparently John & Kristina will have their last dance this Saturday

New rules for Strictly Come Dancing next year will mean a contestant who finishes bottom of the judges’ leader board for three weeks in a row will be automatically ejected without participating in a dance-off says the Telegraph

They keep changing the rules to give the judges more power. I think they will lose viewers if the public can't vote ~ nevermind
