*Strictly Come Dancing 2008*

im hoping that John leaves tonight ;) bet he doesn't though !!

I don't know. I hope he goes as it's time. I think the public have been voting for him to spite the judges and their rudeness - after all he wasn't cheating and/or didn't ask to be kept in! Anyway I thought the way they didn't attempt to disguise their contempt of his efforts last week was horrid and uncalled for... :sad2: IMO they were a little more polite to him this week so maybe people will start voting for those that really need their votes... :confused3 I guess it's part of what is making this season interesting tho'... ;)

I thought he was much better this week, and at last the judges weren't awful to him :thumbsup2

yes he was better, ballroom suits him a lot more ! but there a far better dancers than him who are going to struggle if he stays in.

Dh said last night about who would be the bottom two on the leaderboard and i said you need to look at the bottom three really if you assume john will stay regardless of his position.

As my mum was fond of saying when i was younger..... A joke's a joke but its gone too far now !

James was pretty cross as well

I wonder if john feels guilty about how upset the others are ?

I've just watched them both back to back - I am shocked!

I didn't warm to Cherie at all but she didn't deserve to go....why are people saving John??? :confused3 Yes he is entertaining but surely now it's his time to go.

First I was:scared1: :scared1:

Then I was:mad:

I just can't believe he's still there - He must be starting to feel guilty

Love John and Kristina - they're the couple I enjoy watching the most each week. Certainly don't think John should feel guilty - he hasn't broken any rules.

Well, I can't believe it. :headache: It seems ridiculous to me that Cheri has gone when we're supposed to be voting on how well the celebs are dancing - she was so talented and fab for a more mature lady! I sorta feel embarrassed for John now - I know he hasn't done anything wrong but seems to me that his continued presence is kinda defeating the object really... :sad2:

I feel the same, I find John very entertaining, and as long as we don't lose Austin, Tom or Rachel, then I don't mind him staying

It's a shame really, because on one hand we have the professionals and judges saying vote on the dancing, and then Bruce and Tess saying vote for your favourite couple

I think this years SCD has been the best yet ::yes::

Agree :thumbsup2

He's provided some of the best TV highlights of the year for me; great entertainment.

So far, all it has really meant is that those who weren't going to win anyway will dance for one week less than they might have done had John not been kept in.

The tantrums about those of us who are keeping him in is hilarious  . No one has died.

But is this any different to last years Kate Garroway saga ?
I was fuming at the time Gabby Logan went, as she was a better dancer than Penny Lancaster or Kate who stayed in for too long.

Yes it is a shame to see Cherie go - but after her amazing rhumba, she did not really improve whilst for example Jodie, Rachel and Christine have.

Still think it is Austin's to lose - after all he has the highest score in each dance except the Rhumba this season.

Len is giving mixed messages as well. Last night he said that they have to judge purely on the dancing - fair enough they're getting paid 90k each to do so. Then he says if he was watching at home he'd vote for John because he'd want to see him do a jive next week. Then, when he stays for another week, Len is "furious".

I just hope that backstage they're not being catty about John and Kristina even though they probably resent them still being there. They must all be worried though as to just how popular he actually is, especially Lisa and Rachel as they have featured in the dance offs the past two weeks.

I think today's newspaper headlines and James Jordan's outburst last night have guaranteed John a few thousand votes already this week.

.

Absolutely. That clip of him dragging Kristina across the floor is this series's defining moment!

I hate the way the judges say that the public are keeping him in to humiliate him, I think John always looks like he's having a whale of a time ::yes::

Yep, it's a classic :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think they're missing the point there - IMO the public are keeping him in to pee off the judges! I agree John's entertaining but I like to watch the show for the dancing and I'm just disappointed that a great dancer has gone. Basically no one is safe. Ah well, one of my faves may have gone so I'm not fussed if Tom, Lisa or Austin depart next - maybe I'll vote for John myself next week... ;)
