Stressing over buying plane tickets!!

Right now at Southwest the tickets are ranging from $224 - $250 round trip, which is pretty good! I'm stressed as to whether I should go ahead and buy or hold out to see if they drop! What if they jump up!! Need some advice from people who fly alot. We are traveling March 11-18. HELP!!

Hi With SWA tickets I would be buying now. You could possibly still get a DING fare?? You can also get a REFUND if it is the SAME flight and the price drops.(It used to be this way with the refund but I am not sure if it still is or you would just get a SWA credit??) Good Luck!! Joan

Check the DING fare, mine tickets are only $73 each way but it is only good until 12:00 a.m. On 1-29 which I think basically means midnight 1-28!

Today's Ding that I see is for April 7 - May 24 so that won't help the OP who's travelling in March. Earlier Ding specials ended March 12 and since they're now starting April 7, I think that means they havae enough people booking for Spring Break from March 12 - April 6 that they won't be offering Ding specials for those dates. I don't think SW goes back on dates for their Ding specials, so now that they've moved to April and May, I don't think we'll see any March specials.

We are flying out of New Oleans, LA.

They are actually showing a three day click and save special that ends at midnight tonight. However, the "special" is actually higher than what I priced tickets for last week. I'm worried about what the price will be once the "special ends" The most we fly is once every other year (to WDW) so getting credits towards another flight this year wont do us any good. My parents are going with us and are on a tighter budget. I am really trying to save money for them.
