So we are suppose to leave in like 2 weeks for a much awaited and very much looking forward too trip. My husband was injured at work last week and now we are not sure if we will be able to go. I have the insurence on my trip and I called them and they said as long as the dr says he is unable to travel we will get the monies reembrust. My question and conern is this, if the note from the dr isn't good enough for the insurence company what happens to all the money we paid. Does Disney just keep it all?
I am so upset as you can all imagine but my main concern is that my husband is ok. He goes back to the Dr next week so we shall see what he says I am just trying to figure out the worst case. He is unable to drive right now and that is how we were getting there. Any knowledgeable information on this would be great.
Thanks all.

Oh dear. I'm sorry I don't have any information for you, but I just had to say that I hope your husband is okay and gets better quickly. This seems to be a good place to get answers and I'm sure someone will be able to help you out.

oh my... I do hope your DH gets better really soon. Tell your dr your situation and explain to him that this was going to be a drive to Disney; I would think your dr would give you a note to get anything back. As for disney keeping your money... YES... as far as Disney is concerned they would think that you can still make it....
I hope everything goes well for you & your family.

You poor thing stress- yuck! I hope your husband is feeling better soon. Can you drive? If you can't get your money back maybe rent him a chair to ride around on.:flower3:

I'm sorry to hear that, but I just had to say that I hope your husband is okay and gets better quickly.

Assuming you have a package, then if you cancel between 45 days and 5 days out you pay a $100 penalty and get the rest back , not counting airfare which is another thing altogether,
If you cancel within 5 days or arrival you lose $200. if you don't show up at all or cancel day of arrival you lose the lot.

I think if you need a note for Disney, your DH's Dr. will write one. This is a little different but I was having "issues" at work when I was pregnant with my oldest. My Dr. told me that she would right a note for what ever I needed. She actually had to write note saying that I was to be able to go to the bathroom if I had to get sick(I was sick ALL the time and was told by management I could only go on my break:mad: )

I'm sure the doctor will write one, I don't see why not.

I really hope your husband gets better and that you get to go on another trip soon. I am dealing with similar stress, my fiancés family member is on their deathbed, and our trip is in 9 days.... so we don't know if we should cancel or not :-( since we obviously cannot predict when his relative will pass. :(

I hope things get better for you.

I agree with the previous poster that postponing may be your best bet. Just
to be certain that your husband is recovered and that you're all able to enjoy
the vacation the way you want to. It's alot of money not to be able to take
full advantage of everything your hearts desire. Best of luck to you all. :goodvibes
