Stressed Out!! Bwv Availability??

I am trying to book a 1 bdrm at BWV starting on 09-25-02 and have had no luck! September is supposed to be one of the slow times, so I find it hard to believe that only studios are available. Does anyone know how to determine the TRUE availability of this resort? I know that DVC members own this Resort, but if there are available rooms, are they released to the public for cash sales after a certain period of time?

If you have any information on this, please let me know. I have my heart set on this Resort, and need to know if there is still HOPE!!!!!

BWV is a DVC resort, of which, Disney owns 4%. Which means at any given time, only 4% of the resort is available for cash ressies. If a member uses their points for something other than a DVC resort, than more rooms can become available. BWV is one of the most popular DVC resorts usually books up 11 months in advance with BWV owners, if not booked up by 11 months, by 7 months the rest of the rooms are usually taken by other DVC members. If there are any rooms that could have been booked by DVC members left, they are released for cash sale at 60 days out.

I would give it another week or so. At 60 days, unbooked points rooms are released for cash reservations. July & August have 31 days, so you are more than 60 days from your check-in date, even more from your check-out date. Also, members can cancel rooms up to 31 days before and get their points back without restriction, so there may be cancellations at that point. Good Luck!

As a BWV DVCer....I wouldn't count on a room....most of the Grand Villas, 2 bdrm, 1 bdrms....are gone at the 9 month window...It is one of the most popular resorts....Studios seem to be the only thing that they have enough of for the regular public....

did you try renting points from a DVC member just to see if there is any availablity (don't think so, but you might just get lucky) You also would save a ton of money..... For 7 nights it would be about $2040 renting points but if you pay cash its about $3000 with tax...

Have you checked into the BCV's? It's very possible they will have availability, and they are in the same area and offer pretty much the same amenities.

I just called this morning, and there were lots of openings for the Sept. 12 frametime. And I was checking for 8 nights. So I would keep checking back for the dates that you need. We stayed in a 1-bd. last Sept. and will never stay anywhere else on Disney! Hope it works out for you. Sue
