So I booked our holiday for October 20th back in January with a great offer from Disney for AKL. My 19 year old son didn't want to come, I asked and asked but Know he didn't want to come, until Tuesday night this week!
Had only just realised how fast our trip was coming up and what a lot I still had to do, then this bomb was dropped. Well Disney website did not have any budget hotels, more stress.
However found All stars Sport on Hotels.com. Had no idea I would find that hotel on that website + got cash back through Quidco, which was a result. Wednesday morning I rang hotels.com to get american confirmation number for My disney experience and the girl on the phone was lovely, she put me on hold while she rang America, yes I was on hold a while but she got the number and it linked up to my Disney experience. Would recommend them again, most helpful.
Flights last minute also were a headache, but got indirect flights on 22nd, United airlines early morning and the return is Lufthansa around 9pm going via Frankfurt! Slight panic waiting for confirmation an e-ticket, however after a couple of phone calls it was all confirmed in the afternoon and helpful chap at Globetrotters even sorted the seats for me, sadly they are not sat together for Washington to Orlando flight, but if you must leave it this late what do you expect!!!
Has anyone flown via Frankfurt, if so is it all straight forward doing the connection?
Got the 14 day park passes from disney website so that was straight forward and now linked to my disney experience.
So just got to book the magical express for them, they are now busy doing fast passes and ADR, and getting what they want as well.
So it would seem it is possible to book everything separately, all last minute and for it to all come together, I just found it a bit stressful worrying that we might receive an email saying the flights were not available or something.
Cost for the two of them £2142, which I don't think was too bad for 9 nights at Walt Disney World.
So still time to book for October if you want a last minute break, go for it!!!
