strategies for getting Ana & Elsa FP?

Based on everyone's experience it seems as though if one books an A&E FP+ at 60 days out for the last (say 9th or 10th) day of the trip, it's pretty easy to get. What are people's experiences obtaining them for say a 4th or 5th day (as opposed to late in the trip or very early in the trip)?

No they won't. We were behind a family of 4 and 3 tapped their MBs and they lit up green, dad tapped his it lit blue. He pulled out his iPad to show and they stated they don't accept that as proof. They denied him entrance. I think that's crazy!! I think the FPs should be for the amount in the party that will greet the characters, get autographs and get pics taken. We were 4 only my granddaughter spoke to the characters and took pics with them. My DGS8 refused. DD took the video or photos, I just watched.
Keep trying for that FP. My granddaughter is 5, she was so excited to meet A&E she was on the verge of crying. Definitely a moment not to miss!

Impossible to police. The only way to stop what would become rampant abuse is to do what they currently do.

As long as no one will need to stand in line with her, that should be fine. But if you need to be with her, you'll need to secure a FP+ for yourself as well.

Well I'm not sure how the setup is but she's 7 so I really wouldn't let her out of my sight. Guess me or her mom will use the FP and the other 2 will find a different ride.

Just seems obvious that the parent would be there just for the kid, not for the princess. Oh well.

Seems that way, except there are plenty of adults who enjoy meeting characters too.

OP here. Been trying several times a day now and just scored ONE FP+ for A&E. When I tried to copy it to my DD's account, it said standby only. What do I do now? Keep trying and pray that I get another one at the same time?

Yep. Or see if 2 open up together at a different time and cancel the single 1.

echoing this question! i need to figure out the steps to do a "copy" so i'm not scrambling next week at midnight trying to copy for four people or certain members of my party.

Good point I forgot how some will stretch the truth. Even though we used 4 FPs for 1 little girl to meet A&E I don't regret it. My Granddaughter was so excited she almost started crying when she saw them. She is 5. Anna came right over to her (Jenny was speechless) and started chatting.

I did notice by the time Jenny was done having her pics taken with A&E, the CMs still hadn't brought any more people in. It wasn't until photos with Sleeping Beauty were done that they brought in 2 more families. This is adding to the lines (I'd understand if the characters were going on a break) maybe we just didn't use as much time as they expected. Cindy and Rapunzel as we went to Cindy they were bringing more people in.

This thread gives me hope! We will be at Disney June 9-13 and had to get our tickets this week so I thought there would be no hope for fast passes. The last time we were there dd didn't get to meet them. I am checking everyday but not seeing anything but I will keep trying!

"Anna and Elsa posted waits remain long. Beginning June 1st, they will meet from Park open through 30 minutes before regular Park close, which should help reduce waits and increase FastPass+ availability. Expect additional FP+ for Anna/Elsa to be released for the hours after 5pm shortly."

I've seen it posted in other places as well.

I got my A&E FPs! I saw the threads about them being available at night now, and got some for our first MK day!

They were available from 5-10 pm. I also checked our other two MK days (6/18, 6/20) and lots were available there, too. Too bad I can't eBay them...

This is helpful information. My plan was to not even tell the kids that A&E were available for meeting because there's no flipping way I'm standing in the standby line. Not worth it at all to me. Well, they were looking over my shoulder as I was reading a Disney blog and they started shrieking (even my son!) "We have to meet them! We have to!" Well, crap.

I told them that the line is four hours long and there's just no way they would have any fun standing in that line! I have them pretty convinced that it's just not a good idea.

So now of course I desperately want to surprise them with FP. I still have seven weeks until my 60 days so I'm reading up and getting ready and hoping I can snag FP for them. They would be totally surprised!

Just scored FP's for A&E!! The kids are so excited and so am I....because I really didn't want to stand in line for 4 hours to meet them....but I would've if that's what they wanted to do bc it's their trip. Just glad I kept trying and finally got them.

Yay! So glad you were able to get them! I had previously not been able to get one for DH (but had 3 for DD8, DD5, and myself), but I was able to change one of FPs for our second MK day to an evening A&E FP. I'm scared to change the ones I had for our last day in case something happens and we don't make it back to the park for that evening that we all have them. I don't want to go through the stress of trying to get them again!
