The strangest thing my kids have brought home after trick or treating was a "religious" brochure on the evils of Halloween. What have your kids brought home???

Since our DS only T&T'd to family's (he doesn't do it anymore) homes, he's never received anything strange, but I did when I was a kid. They were more scary than strange though. :( I was given a popcorn ball with ground up glass in it, and something else (don't remember what the item was) that had two little red pills hidden in it. :(

Scary! I'd never known anyone who'd actually received the "ground up glass" they'd warned us about. :(

I once got a goldfish-didn't make it to Thanksgiving.

Pretty sick huh? It was green glass... In my mind, I can still see that popcorn ball with little bits of green glass in it. My mom opened it over the kitchen sink to "check it"... (something she always did) and called me over to see it. I don't remember, but I imagine that was probably the last time I ever trick or treated. I know it would've been for my kid!

In last year's bag noticed that Kara had gotten a little box of toothpaste, a AA Battery and A Cough Drop - weird

A couple of years ago, my kids had a religious brochure, and a handful of peanuts in the shell. Not in a bag, just tossed in their buckets.

A little tube of toothpaste is actually a good idea if you think of all the candy kids get that night!;) The Easter bunny used to bring us a new toothbrush and a tube of toothpaste every year in our Easter baskets.

Not really strange - but we go T&T around my parent's nbrhood - we don't have a nbrhood, closest house .5 mile (as the crow flies). And I guess because people get tired of seeing teens and preteens who don't even bother to dress up - DD gets HUGE amounts of stuff. Last year 2 blocks and the pumpkin was full :D I'd let her pick out one candy every night and throw away a handfull after she was in bed and we still had candy til almost X-Mas.
