Good Morning Guys!

Just thought id found out what the strangest or most random thing youve bought on your trips to Florida over the years?

Is there something you bought and its lasted for years even though you didnt really want it?

Any random purchases out there? Or is there anything that you bought and now think what the hell is this???

I have a few things knocking around my room like a road sign I bought when I was 16 in Orlando saying 'Pimpin Ave'....at the time it looked cool but now...not so much!

Ive also got a Mr Potato Head called 'Darth Tater' who sits on my wardrobe, i havent got a clue why *** I dont even like star wars!!!

I think the best buy has to be the mug that gets used on a Daily Basis and has been in our house since 1993, it was from a random tourist shop on international drive and it has a picture of a shark and says 'Bring us more tourists, the last ones were tasty' and in big letters FLORIDA! :hippie:

So what about you guys?

Great thread - I can't think of anything from Orlando but I bought a back stratcher in Tennerife - it is so tacky but so handy when you've got an itch that you just can't reach. It's also great for reaching my little one comforter when he drops it down the back of his cot :thumbsup2:lmao:

Great thread Jordan! :thumbsup2

I don't think I've bought anything particularly strange. I'll have a think!

:rotfl: Oh dear!!

Pressed penny's from all the parks , i've no idea why we or should i really say I thought it was good idea to collect them. :goodvibes i think thats the worst thing brought

My downfall is carrier bags I treat them as if they are as precious as the souvenirs that I've bought - I just can't throw them away. I've got various sized WDW bags from 1998, 2002, 2005 and 2009. As well as bags from DLRP and other foreign holidays. I get quite upset if DH actually reuses one.

Me too! I especially like the abercombie ones......wonder why lol:)

Every time it's a keyring don't know why I never use them hey just get in my way and annoy me.

Once bought some medication which came home with me it's still in cabinet now

Also souvenir cup from magic kingdom, it's used to wash DD hair as she hates the shower lol

from orlando, a cat in the hat plastic squidgy thing you cannot keep hold of (WHY?)

from elsewhere, a string of skull beads carved from human bones (again, why did i buy them)

It has to be one of those breathing dogs in a basket. My kids loved it when we went last time, and where is it now ...... at Grandma's with a big hole in it's back where the massive batteries used to be

Every time we go we always get sucked into buying the 'special purchases' that you can get when you spend $X's at World of Disney.
One time we came back with 3 throws, another time 3 of the prints that were limited for that year. And lord knows how many shopping bags, satchels and luggage bags we have knocking around.
And the next time we go we will probably do it all over again :goodvibes

Not mine but...

My family and I were on the shopping trip you can go on via VH, and a family boarded the coach with an entire suitcase (that they'd just bought) filled with..

...SOCKS!

:rotfl:

god my dad had the t shirt with the shark and tourists on lol what a memory

my dh says my worst purchases are magnets! I always get one from disney with the year on and a couple of character ones
problem is ds now like to post them between the fridge and freezer and theyre a devil to get out

Much to the approval of certain members here, i regularly bring alcohol back when i visit Slovenia ;)

In my defines, blueberry schnapps is pretty much their national drink, but it's something you cant get in this country, yet i happen to be quite partial to it occasionally.

So - im afraid i have no choice but to bring back a bottle or two when i visit ;)

Good idea for a thread :)

It's not something I bought, but something my mum bought for me while we were in Orlando last summer. It's from one of those tourist-y shops on I Drive.

It's a sign you stick in your car, and it says "We don't skinny dip...we CHUNKY DUNK"!!

I don't know what she's trying to tell me :lmao: :thumbsup2

as insulting as that could maybe be, that is the funniest bumper sticker ever!
