While on my honeymoonin Belize, we went to a "chicken drop" on the beach.

Here's what that is.... a local hotel sets up a "grid" with rope on the beach. Everbodyy stands around, with drinks in hand, and then somebody brings out a chicken and puts it in the middle of the grid...... then you bet on which box the chicken poops in!

Ahh, good times my friends, good times!

LOL! Chicken drop!

I won passes to a backstage barbeque with Fleetwood Mac several years ago. It was right before one of the "new" Woodstock concerts and they were giving away an old VW van. We got to paint it all crazy at the barbeque. It was a riot.

I didn't win the van though.;)

college orientation.....they had some weird activities featuring choclate and frosting

Dog birthday party with cake, presents, etc..

We have something similar to the Chicken Drop as a fundraiser for our band program. It is called Cow Patty Bingo. Yep, thats right, we make a grid, sell tickets, let a cow loose and which ever square the cow goes on, the person gets $1000! It is very intresting. Reminds me that I live in the south everytime! haha

Our neighbor had a party for HIS TRUCK..when it hit 200,000 miles on the same engine and was still running strong. He had a big barbecue and a huge cake and we brought gifts for the truck. We brought the truck some nice Armor All to keep the inside nice and new looking....:sunny:

As a foot note, Truck is still going strong, that was almost 10 years ago, had to put a new engine in it finally..which made him sad he said to see the truck's guts go....

My High School in NJ did the cow drop as well.

Lets see, I went to a Rocky Horror convention. That was odd!

Does my cousin's wedding count? It was really strange. :earseek:

A friend of mine had a housewarming party in Worcester a month or two ago. One of his friends was from the Middle East and performed several belly dance/sword balancing numbers for us. What was odd was that it was a man. I had no idea that men performed them! The outfit he wore was basically the same outfit I've seen on the women that do such performances, except for the bra.

A concert featuring experimental music majors doing the strangest things imaginable. Some of it was interesting, but a lot of it was excruciating. All of it was surreal.

I hosted a "Come as your favorite disease" Hallowen party,

There were quite a few lepers that attended the party. My floor was littered with fallen body parts.

My favorite was an intern that came in as a hemophiliac - he oozed ketchup on command.

20 years ago we were allowed to be politically incorrect.

How about on a military base. I went with my hubby to watch a movie in the day room. With a room filled with other male soldiers.

The movie ended up a rated X movie. It got really bad before I decided to embarrass everyone and walk out. It didn't help that I was in the middle of the back row and the door was in front.

attended a few bachelors parties that were way over the line & a little frightening.

A Halloween ball in which a lot of drag queens were in attendance. The costumes were pretty wild, and revealing! Some guys were really convincing as women!

I also went to a "speed dating" event, boy was that an experience!

While the venue itself wasn't strange (an alternative nightclub that happened every 2 weeks in the basement of an old hotel), there was a "ritual" of sorts that happened at around midnight. The hokey-pokey song would start, and a sea of punks and freaks would stand in little circles on the dancefloor and do the dance. A strange and beautiful thing, really. I wonder if anyone ever photographed those moments...

I went to a wedding for a couple that works for my GH. There was absolutely no emotion, nor hint that they even liked one another. Not a cow patty bingo or chicken pooking event, but it struck me, and others, as a very strange wedding.

Birthday party for my Best Friends 32 year old horse.

It was strange but really fun. My friend made King a carrot cake of course and we put a big carrot in the middle that King took out and ate LOL

A friend of mine had a Bus party. He rented a school bus and a driver to drive us to local bars. At the begining of the night everyone was to put a bar name in a hat and he drew put different names after leaving the last bar. We had to go into these bars, drink one drink and leave for the next stop. Now we were all dressed up in what we called "Future France"(high fashion and alot of silver clothing) so we all looked a little crazy. We ended up at a "good old boys" bar and they were shocked to see so many strange people entering thier turf. But by the time we left they were all buying us drinks. It was strange but also one of the best nights out I have ever had!
