Has snail-mailed me my tickets for our August flight....

I made these reservations in October.

I DID have to call them back about three times for minor changes that caused us to lose our seats.....but it's been weeks since the last time I did that....

Oh Well....I have paper documents in hand now!? :confused3

Would that be your actual paper ticket, or e-ticket that Delta mailed you?

Its my experience with Delta that from time to time they send out the e-ticket confirmations via regular mail. Usually upon your initial reservation, or upon changes to your flights. Sometimes the changes are very slight, a minute or two change in departure or arrival times.

Also, I notice when they don't do this and there are changes in your flight times it seems that you lose your initial seating.

We leave on 4/17 on Delta. I bought our tickets directly from Delta's website back in July. I receive e-tickets through email and never received anything in the mail. Should I have received something? Since I booked so far in advanced, my flight changed several times which meant losing my seating. I called each time and are now confirmed with the seating we have. I should be find, right? I still have the original e-tickets that were emailed to me.

You should be fine. But make sure you take your confirmed e tickets with you in the event there is a strike this weekend. That is going to be the only way you can be moved to another airline!

Thanks...I was wondering that also. I read that some of the other airlines are honoring those tickets for 10 days with a transfer fee of $25-75 per ticket.

This is my DS4 and DS6's first vacation, so I sure hope everything goes okay with Delta. It's been a long planned trip that I would hate to not be able to go due to Delta.

Also...do I need to bring anything proof for the boys for check in at the airport? Should I bring their birth certificates?

For some reason sometimes DL does this. I got a paper receipt the other day for a flight I took LAST week. I never get one for an initial booking, but if I make a change then sometimes they send them. (I think it must just depend on the agent doing something)

We booked our June 25 flight late last summer; $176 RT from PIT (great if Delta is still around... YIKES!) was a great deal then and now.

Delta has change flight times three times now. Each time I have called to have them reset our seating assignments. The second time I did this, Delta sent me new itineraries for the trip, both in email and snail mail.

My guess is that it all depends on who the customer service rep is; sometimes they hit the "mail" button and other times they do not.

You do not need id for under 18. My niece is 14 and looks 18 +, there have been several in security to question this when she says she's 14. She now carries her ident-a-kid ID with her. Her school does this everyyear 1st one is free with additional Id's for 10.00 and since she spends so much time with us my sister always gets me one for my wallet.
