My sister-in-law truly thinks I know everything Disney, so I need the answer to this question to prove her right. Over Easter(2 weeks ago), she joined us for a few days at Disney. She knew she was coming back to WDW with us in June, so she purchased a 7-day hopper here at the Disney store to get the advance-purchase price, and planned to use 1-2 days off the 7-day hopper 2 weeks ago, then the remaining 5-6 days and a waterpark visit or two in June. She ended up not going with us to any parks over Easter, opting instead to shop at DtD and to visit PI(she bought a ticket for the 1 night). The only thing she used the 7-day hopper for was 1 trip to Blizzard Beach with my son(he talked her into it). Now we have decided to add a trip in October when the kids are out of school, and she is thinking of joining us again for that trip. If that happens, she would have been better off purchasing the AP rather than the 7-day hopper. I have had terrible luck upgrading tickets, even ones that had not been used, so I want an idea of the how this upgrade will be handled before we go. I do know that she will have to upgrade the 7-day hopper to a PAP since she has already used a plus visit(waterpark), but that is fine with her as we are planning to do both waterparks once in June, and possibly DQ, too. Is it even possible to upgrade a 7-day hopper to a PAP if only 1 plus visit has been used, and if so, what is the value placed on the plus visit? Also, I am assuming the PAP will be backdated to April, so she will really be kicking herself over paying for PI that 1 night. Any help(Oh, GoldenOldie) will be greatly appreciated.
