Strange Stores To Find Hot Items In?

I've found 2 of my kids' wish list items super cheap at stores I never would have thought to look for them in:
Glow Pet was $20 at bedbathandbeyond.com, and with free store pickup and $5 in store coupon (YMMV) it ended up under $15. [Glow Pets are $30 everywhere I've seen, but Kohl's has them for $22 now; even if Kohl's has a 30% offer, BBB is slightly cheaper.]
Doctor Who Build Your Own Sonic Screwdriver was at barnesandnoble.com for $31, with a 30% coupon (BFRIDAY30) and free shipping, so got it for $22. [$40 at thinkgeek.]
Moral of this story: read the ads, then Google. :)
Which niche stores have you found gifts on/in that don't fit the niche?

I've gotten some hard to find lego sets at Barnes and Noble in the past. We have two local stores. One has a big toy section instead of the music/movie section.

dc wanted a tablet case, Not just any tablet case but a pretty one. :lmao: So we drove all over cause it had to be under $20! today we stopped at family dollar and BOOM! she found a tablet starter kit for 15 w a cool case (car charger, screen protector, stylus, and some various cords and do dads). by what I saw of it (she was leaving for her pops) it was really good quality too.

Yeah, thanks a lot...I really needed to place ANOTHER order (for $26, with B&N!) My mailman/delivery people are going to HATE me next week! :rotfl2:

I shop Marshalls/Home Goods all the time. They have all sorts of clearance stuff. Real nice to get "last" years model for 1/2 price especially when its a shirt/jacket and the style has not gone out yet.
