Strange SSR item on ebay

"Mouseplus" buys pretty much all of the Disney items when rooms are renovated. I have been to their warehouse and store and it is FILLED AND FILLED with many beautiful items from all the resorts.

If you are ever in the area, you should stop by and visit them. NO, I am not part of them, just been there and walked around for a couple of hours.

A head board I can see, maybe, but $100 for a parade crossing sign. I guess I am not a collectable type. The AKL zebra chair is going though.

I watch their auctions regularly (but usually won't spend for the items at the final price). I understand they have the items from the renovated resorts but SSR?

Where are they located? I might like to check it out someday.

Dh had to check this place out on our May 2005 trip. However it is not really in the best part of town.:lmao: After a couple wrong turns I was so happy when we finally got there.

THEIR ADDRESS IS: 1475 Pine avenue, Orlando 407-854-5391 - go on their website and it will give you directions with a map.

For years my wife and I talked about "Lucy and Ethel," our names for two Fijiian women in a historic photograph that used to hang at the Poly. We first saw the photo right after we got married, and we fell in love with the grace and poise of the women in the photo. In later years we'd actually go back and visit them, even if we weren't staying at the Poly. Well, last year the Poly was redecorated, Lucy and Ethel went up for auction at MouseSurplus, and now they're hanging in our home!

I never heard of this place. Thanks for posting. It is a weird collection of odds and ends. I wonder how much of it they actually sell?

that is extremely odd that they would have something from such a new resort - I understand the old stuff - but not these headboards...

That is very cool rocketriter! :thumbsup2

maybe there was a kitchen fire in a unit and everything was replaced due to smoke damage?

I have stayed at SSR, but just to verify I went to a reputable website that has pictures and that headboard looks nothing like the ones at SSR. Maybe it is an old headboard from the Disney Institute? :confused3

Could someone please post the web address for "mousepluse" - I can't seem to google it or get it to work in my address bar. Don't know what I am doing wrong - Thanks in advance.

Doesn't look anything like what is in SSR now. I'm wondering if they were part of the Disney Institute rooms.

You should have seen the look on the TSA agent when I came walking in the airport with this headboard. I, mean I have got to raise money for my next trip some how. pirate:

Next time I will bring back the pickets on the balcony with the Mickeys carved in.
