Strange question about The Plaza

Is the food served on paper or real dishes? In over 50 trips to WDW we have never eaten at The Plaza. We may try it next trip, but we are bringing a first timer and have limited time for TS restaurants. We want to pick a few, but my concern with The Plaza is that it may be similar to a cs experience :confused3

Real plates. It's a lovely sit down with good sandwiches and burgers. I love the Reuben! The fries are some of the best at WDW, IMO. The shakes are great too!

My family and I love this restaurant. It is a little hidden gem. The sandwiches and fries are great but we love the milkshakes. We always have to eat, at least once, at this restaurant when we go to MK.

Like you, we had never tried this restaurant despite all our years of visiting. We did go there last year and loved it. I agree with the previous poster that this a hidden gem. Not like a cs restaurant at all!

While Main Street Bakery is closed they're using disposable plates. They'll go back to regular plates when it reopens. My understanding is it has to do with less kitchen space due to the renovations.

Here's what the plates look like.

Thank you, that's good to know. With the prices being just slightly higher than cs I wasn't sure what to expect.

Ooooooo we love The Plaza. As a PP mentioned the Reuben is excellent, and so is the grilled veggie sandwich. My kids love the burgers. A lovely little gem easily overlooked, but do give it a try.

I love the plaza. My favorite is the club sandwich and a black and white milkshake :lovestruc. Of course, it is also a wonderful place ot get out of the 'crazy' during the middle of the day and recharge.

Just ate there last month, and as mentioned, they have been using disposable plates as they are waiting on a new dishwasher.

The day we ate there, was the day the new dishwasher arrived, so they are anticipating it to be installed soon.

We also discussed as to whether they will get a water filter machine (many of the MK restaurants do not filter their water), and she said they were hoping for this since the arrival of Starbucks may necessitate new filtering equipment.

We like The Plaza as the milkshakes are good, as are the sandwiches, and it has a great view!

I ate there for the first time on March 18, 2013. Had issues with the CMs that check you in, long story, but the food was good and we had an excellent waitress once we were seated. That evening we did have real plates. The Main Street Bakery was closed.

It is a great little restaurant. We ate their for the first time last May. We liked it so much we are eating there again this next trip. For the prices, it is great.

When my daughter and I went in 2010 our meal was served on real plates.

We love the Plaza! The Club sandwich is delicious, it's our favourite place to eat at MK. I would eat there no matter what plates they use, but last time I ate there, they had real plates

Just there in March and it was disposable plates. It was my first time and we really enjoyed it. The food was fresh and and good... we tried a meatloaf, chicken sandwich, burger, cheese steak and reuben.

We were too full to try the desserts but what we saw on the tables around us they look yummy!
