I have done this with my cat too. She curls up in the computer chair, sometimes under this little throw I keep on it too. I feel so bad when it happens!
My cat loves to snuggle up to me when I sleep, but she gets in the crook behind my knees. That's where she likes to be, but it's about impossible to move at that point. How can a little cat weigh so much when in a bed?
The dog likes to sleep WITH someone. She sleeps with DD16 & has for several years. But, if it's late & DD is still up in the living room, the dog will try to go to bed with whoever goes to bed first.
One of my dogs loves to sleep in the laundry bag. We have to make sure she can't get into it because she will make a nice warm bed for herself in the bag if it is left open. Thankfully she always jumps out if you move it.
No weird places for my dog, he is pretty much always glued to me. If I am cooking or doing stuff outside of my room, he has a bed under the kitchen table he will sit in. Or, he will burrow under my blankets in my bed.
Our little yorkie is a snuggler so she has to sleep touching someone. She also likes to be under the covers most of the time. She gets in and out of bed at least twice a night and when she gets back in she will scratch at the covers so I'll lift them and she can get under. If I'm sitting on the couch, she either likes to be on my lap under whatever cover I have on me or she likes me to sit with my legs bent up and she gets under my legs under the covers.
My tabby cat loves to sleep in my carry on luggage that is underneath my bed. My maine coon (who sheds like crazy) favorite spot is anywhere there is a pile of clean clothes!! And my cockapoo loves to sleep in my daughters closet curled up next to her Ugg boots!
Oh another odd one our doxie likes to sit (and lay) on new wee wee pads. No clue why he does that but as soon as I put one down he just lays on it for a little bit. Of course until recently he prefered the hard floor to any of the blankets or soft beds.
The older dog (same one who sleeps in laundry bags) also steals his kennel. We think it is out of jealousy. When we get home we let the doxie out and keep the kennel door open in case he wants to go take a nap on his bed but this winter the older dog has decided she wants the kennel and sleeps in it and guards it from him. We tried to kennel train her and she was never into it so stopped because she's a good pup that doesn't chew or mess the house. He comes around and needs to be kenneled so she suddenly took a liking to them.
One cat has been known to sleep in the dirty clothes sorter, only if the bag is about half full. Another likes to sleep in the linen closet, of course on the towels that hold on to as much hair as possible. And the other sleeps on DHs pillow, whether he is using it or not, she's like a cat scarf wrapped around his head.
