Strange Phobias?

Strange
Butterflies. When they're flying towards me, I scream and try to run away.
Sleeping without a blanket over me. I've always thought someone would cut my toe off or something
People with bags over their heads. I've seen a few.

Normal
Unknown stalkers.
Fish, if I touch one, I get so freaked out.
Staplers.
I have a lot more, but I don't feel like typing them.

The only real phobia I have is of ants: thanks to a few increasingly traumatic experiences, they freak me the heck out. Any size, any color, any amount of ants scares me, and I can't see an anthill without panicing. That scene in Indy 4 just about gave me a heart attack, and I only saw maybe a second or two of it. Just knowing what was going on (and oh my god, the sounds they were making) scared me half to death.

Besides that I do have some other fears, but I wouldn't really call them phobias. These include dying, people I know dying, breaking bones, fire, car crashes, large trucks, nuclear warfare, drive-by shootings (which makes NO sense at all where I live, and I can't figure out why I'd even have this fear, but it makes me very nervous when I sit by our front window), stalkers, spiders, and getting hit by invisible things (particularly trains and trucks) when I'm getting out of a car.

My irrational and somewhat weird phobias.

-BEES!
-Spiders
-The feeling I get when I get out of a pool, and rubbing my fingers together! GROSS! It just creeps me out.
-Puppets, wooden ones, like the one in, In Between The Lions.
-Change, I find it really hard to deal with change, I have to stay at POR every we go on vacation, I just like familiarity.

I dont know if this is a phobia, but I HATE squirrels.
They are horrible little creatures.
Especially where I live !
There so mean.

I'm afraid of snakes, and sometimes I'm afraid of the dark~ but I guess those are kind-of normal ones!
Oh, and I'm afraid that Obama will become prez! And that would be bad! LOL!

i also have a Phobia of Wooden puppets after seeing that movie Dead Silence

Strobe Lights, omg i hate those things. when those things start flashing i like start to get queasy.
Blood, my blood doesnt scare me, but like when i watch those surgery shows EWW!!

what's wrong with Obama? sorry jc

The tank behind the toilet.
Pool drains and vacuums.

Oh I have a weird one. Processed American cheese. Elia from Top Chef is so right, it's disgusting. Any time I have to touch it, smell it, or even look at it, I get freaked out. It's the second most vile thing on the planet.

What's the first?

Public Restrooms!!
Bathrooms at the Pool:scared:

Wet TP:scared:

Stinky People

im also afraid of throwing up

i am extreamly weird i know

Fish - I'll eat certain kinds, but can't look at 'em.

Vomiting - I'll scare myself into thinking I'm going to throw up if my stomach feels funny.

im terrified of...

bugs
being bitten by something
getting hurt physically, emotionally, mentally
getting killed
hurting someone else
vomitting people
vomit
The Janitor from Scrubs
the joker
clowns

yeah-thats my weirdest ones i think.

Throwing up :scared1:
elevators
burning alive *but I'm not afraid of death*

I am, however, TERRIFIED of being scared when I die. I'm not afraid of death itself but I want to be at peace and calm when I die. I don't want to be afraid.

Thats EXACTLY like me.

-Mine would be spiders...like last week i was laying down
and this spider walked on my arm i screamed jumped up and ran...
I didnt want to sleep in my room for like a week :/
-And throwing up...
I hate throwing up and other people throwing up makes me wanna throw up.
-and then theres blood...
kinda makes me gag....though ive learned my brothers blood doesnt..idk weird

Dieing.

Throw Up. :scared:

Birds/ Animals.

Not heights but looking at tall building and such, which is sad because I live near the city with tall buildings.

I cant stand when doors are open, I feel like people could be staring at me.
And I hate windows being open, I feel like im being heard/watched.

This isnt a phobia but I dont like when peoples faces are on shirts, like band shirts and stuff im cool with, but just random peoples faces on shirts scares me.

I have more I cant think of em now though.
:/

Same! I'm a terrible emetophobic.

I don't have any strange ones but I'm emet.
I hate vomit.
I hate it when someone else is sick, I'm so afrad to be near them and hear it.
My worst fear when I wak up in the night and one of my parents goes to the bathroom is that they'll be sick.
I'm deathly afraid of vomitting myself, I haven't thrown up since grade 1.
I'll do anything to keep myself from being sick.

I didn't know there were so many emet's on the board!
I am a huge emet.
I will think about throwing up, and that will make me feel like I'm going to throw up, but I won't.
The last time I threw up was when I was 6 or 7.
I'm 14 now and I hope to never throw up as long as I live (fat chance)
I would undergo surgery to prevent myself from throwing up.
And the irony is that whatever I'm doing, whatever the hell it is, they'll mention it.
Like, I was watching Family Feud and the question was "Name another word for throwing up"
And I was eating dinner.

Mkay, now for the weird fears:

Unexpectedly going underwater.
If someone picks me up in the pool, I scream for mercy not to drop or dunk me.

This one's corny.
The spongebob ride at the shore I go down.
It ties in with a different fear I have.
There I was, thinking, oh what a cute children's ride.

1. In the dark
2. It's a ride-through, and the car pulls up directly to a wall
3. A painting (The first one was a huge jellyfish) lights up (almost like it's popping out at you) and makes a hugh buzzing sound.

Ugh I hate it.

I totally have been on that !
Well maybe if were talking about the same thing. XD
Its creepy, the random lights and noises.
D:

I have such a strange phobia that they don't even have a NAME for it!!

Robot Dinosaurs (a la Jurassic park or Dinosaur ride @ WDW)
Maybe it'd be called RoboDinophobia??

I get dragged onto Dinosaur EVERY trip and I cry and close my eyes and plug my ears throughout the whole thing. It's TERRIFYING.

Even on the Jurassica Park ride @ IOA< when you are in the seciotn with the 'nice' Dinos I start FREEEEAKING out, like shaking and feeling like I wanna cry. It's horribly embarassing lol

Also I am afraid of fish/ all other marine life.

I have the exact same. Sometimes, even computer generated ones scare me. I was completely scared when I went on BTTF:TR, because of that dinosaur scene. I think that's what has caused the fear. But I am OK when I watch like these documentaries on how the dinosaurs died out, or what dinosaurs would have acted like, or something.

I might never step foot in DTD again, because of the new T-Rex Cafe. I would be OK if everything was inside, but there's going to be a 28ft T-Rex AA outside the building!

Another fear I have is if anyone is near me and holding something sharp. I always tense up and have images of these people just stabbing me or something. I'm OK when i'm in control of the sharp object though. I know the fear started when I had my first blood test. The guy I sat next to in English knew this about me and kept getting out a swiss army knife during the lesson to "show me" and once nearly stabbed me in the stomach. Might have suceeded if I didn't have my reading book in front of me...

OMG I KNOOOOOW THAT RESTAURANT SOUNDS TERRIFYING!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I wanted to see Journey to the Centre of the Earth in 3D, but I hear there's a dinosaur part!!!!

yeah, in the adverts it shows a dinosaur chasing them. That doesn't mind me, but I would be so scared if I saw it in 3D, which is what I was planning to do.
