Strange names....

Which ones have you heard? I read in Ann Landers years ago that there was a woman named "Ima Hog." Can you imagine? "Hi everyone! ImA Hogg."

There was a child in our town whose name was Tarantula. I'd see her name in the paper periodically for things like Burger King Citizens of the Month (a monthly ad with pictures of kids who were chosen as "good citizens" by their schools) and other school-related things. By now Tarantula is grown and I haven't seen her name in the papers for years. I would love to know if she kept her name or changed it as an adult.

A friend of mine was working at a retail store when he asked the customer for her name. She responded Female (pronounced Fi-Mal-e). It was kind of a slow day so he asked her about her name. She responded by saying that after she was born at the hospital that is the name the nurse put down on her paperwork. It really was her name too, had it on her drivers license.

Long ago, I worked at a company where one of the bigwigs names was Hauser Ashe. Whenever the operators paged him, they always managed to make it sound like "How's yer ***."

My sister once took a claim (gov't office) from a person who's legal first name was Cosmic Wonder. No lie.

This is a true story. Those poor kids(well this happened a long time ago(about 80 years or so).

Recently a friend who works at an urgent care said that there were twins who came in. One was named Orangejello (pronouned O'ronjello) and one was Lemonjello (pronounced Le'monjello). I had heard about them years before but I thought it was a joke. And she also had a lady in there whose name was spelled like a**hole but pronounced Ashole. Who knows what goes through some peoples minds when they are picking out names! My last name is often pronounced 'road' but the spelling is not even close to that or even pronounced that way. The big joke when I was pregnant with my son was that we should name him Dusty, Bumpy, Dirt, etc.

My neighbor's father was named Dusty Rhoades.
My sister has found a few. She worked somewhere and had a call from a Richard Head, only he didn't go by Richard, he used the D form of shortening it.(I don't even want to try to see if the word will post here)
She sent me one this week. Luke Skye Walker. She said she even took a picture of his ID to prove it to her friends.
My DH went to school with a girl who swore she would have a boy and name him Brock Lee. I don't know if she ever did thoguh.

My friend is a teacher and she told us oof 2 that really stand out Both are girls' first names): Tampaxia and Shi*head which was pronounced Shi-thead.
