Strange looks

We are big fans of the Haunted Mansion and we bought the Doom Buggy license plate that is for sale outside of the attraction and put it on the front of our minivan. We always get really strange, confused looks from people who read it. Does anyone else have it on their car and encounter the same thing?

this is a VERY TRUE story. so true, it aint funny to this day.

I once had a plate that got , shall we say, "written over" with a few alterations with plain old white out.

IT was altered to say I SKI 69.

my mother, my father, important higher ups from work & even The Police notitced. IT was very very mortifing until it could be replaced. I had to leave it on, as two plates were required at all times. luckily, the plates got replaced for free, but it was the longest 4 weeks of my life. I got rather unique looks on the highway, but the fact that my parents figured it out was just kinda sickening.
I hope this make you and the DOOM BUGGY feel better.

I have a hitchiking ghosts decal on my truck window. It's actually pretty good sized, and to round out the ensemble, on the opposite end of the window there's a Fort Wilderness decal. So it looks like they're trying to hitch a ride to the Fort!

I haven't noticed any funny looks, but we have had some cute comments from people that actually know what it's all about.

we have the license plate and put it on my DS's stroller because he LOVED the haunted mansion on his first trip at 9 months. We get a lot of comments from people who think it's hysterical. This trip, we added the glow skeleton that looks like it's chomping - we bought it at MK during the halloween party.

I have it! However I bought it not realizing i don't have a front bumper license plate holder on my car, and wasn't willing to pay the money requred for a mount for it. . Maybe one day i'll have a car with a place to put it.

DH did have DOOMBGY as his vanity plates until June when he got his firefighting ones. Everyone always wanted to know what it was in reference to.

I get the same reaction... people say "what does that mean?" I love it though, I feel it give the car some more confidence!

Just have to remember its a Disney thing.
