I received my reservation confirmation yesterday and it looks nothing like the ones I have always gotten. It says Walt Disney World Travel Co., Inc. What is Walt Disney World Travel Co? I called the reservation number I always call so now I'm wondering whats going on. It also said on my confirmation that I have admission to the Sports Complex or miniature golf, is this something new also? Just wondering if anyone else has gotten their confirmation like this?

Sounds like you called the Disney Club 1 800 number, or got transferred over there because the regular number was busy. We also had a special and got either mini golf or sports complex..although we had to tell them which we wanted. Consider it a bonus!! Were you using your Disney Club Card?

Sounds like you got a basic package rather than a room only reservation. Check the cancellation and payment rules - WDTC rules are usually more strict.

When I called the first time in January to book a room only stay in May, I got WDTC. And I knew that because they mentioned that little bonus. (That I didn't care about anyway.)
The only difference I think you will notice is the payment.
Read your conformation and verify when you have to pay the balance. It may be that you have to pay prior to your arrival. But I wouldn't want to say for certain.
When you call for ressies, sometimes you get WDTC, sometimes CRO.
I have gone through both and have had no problems with WDTC, which is more than I can say for CRO. The payment policy was just different is all, from my experience.

I called what I thought was the CRO number, its the same number I have always called so it must have transferred me to the WDTC. I didnt use Disney Club and the gal asked me if I wanted room only so I assumed it wasnt a package deal. The rules are much more strict and the pay off date was before our arrival. That was my only draw back, that I had to pay the whole thing before I arrive. Sometimes I have a little left to pay when I get there but I was going to try to pay it before arrival this time, I just dont like that I'm forced to. Should I leave it or can you call back and change to CRO? I kind of missed my usual fun Disney envelope that we all run to the mailbox for. Oh well! Thanks for your input.

Had the same thing happen to me when I first made ressies for a stay at PO-R. Didn't know I had the extras either. Then I found out that I had to pay in full way ahead of time. I called back, cancelled that ressie, then had a new one made up--end result was that my total for the stay was almost $10 cheaper. Turns out the "free" golf or sports package is not free after all! The CM explained that whenever you call to make resort only ressies, you should make sure you are not talking to a Vacation Package specialist.

We did pay a $1 a night more for the "free" mini golf, but it gives us 5 tickets (one for each of us..and I guess it's not cheap!) so I still thought it was a great deal. I wouldn't have purchased this package, if I hadn't wanted to try out the mini golf. I thought it was a great deal for a total extra of $7.00 and tax.

I might call and make the change. I noticed they only give us 2 days to use the free golf or sports complex tickets and one of the days is the day of our arrival so I don't know that we will use it, and if it ends up that I paid for it and didnt use it that would be a waste. I'm sure the golf would be fun though!
