Strange happenings at Chef Mickeys !!!!!

Hi all,

What the heck is happening at Chef Mickeys ??

I have just returned from a 3 day visit to WDW. I was last there a month ago.
I went to Chef MIckeys on Friday evening ( 30th ) and to my surprise chef Mickey is no more. It was Chef Donald.!!!!!!!
Mickey was present but wearing his Cruise LIne outfit and Donald was clearly dressed as the chef wearing all white and a chefs hat.
I did ask the cast member why Mickey had a new outfit on and the reply was that it was his new chefs outfit!!!
Please dont tell me that they are changing it to Chef Donalds????
By the way does anyone know who I can email at WDW about this.
I am sure people go there to see Chef Mickey ,not cruise line Mickey. I am wondering what possible reason they have to do this. Why not just put Mickey in his normal atttire???Maybe something happened to all of Mickeys Chef costumes.
Anyway thought someone else may know more

Wow! That is strange! As much as I like DCL, that doesnt make sense to have a Captain Mickey there.
We were there on July 21 and had Chef Mickey and no Donald.
I hope someone has some info.

Maybe since it's Donald's 70th birthday Mickey figured he'd give Donald a turn at being chef LOL.

It makes no sense to have Cruise Line Mickey there. Very strange.

That's weird that Mickey was wearing his cruise outfit but not so strange that Donald was wearing a chef outfit. I have pictures from when I was there almost two years ago and Mickey and Goofy were both dressed like chefs and Chip & Dale had on chef's hats and aprons. Donald and Minnie were wearing their regular outfits when I had dinner there but I bet Donald is cute dressed like a chef and the hat would give him some height. Heeeeeyyyyyy, maybe that's why they did it! Donald's Napolean Complex was getting to be too much for them so they gave him the tall hat to make him feel better.

I was told by a CM that Mickey is not guarenteed at any character breakfast... he said " you never know if he will be busy taking Goofy to the Dr's or something" So that makes sense, although why Mickey can't be everywhere in WDW is beyond me. After all, he is WDW to the kids. hmmm

But I dunno why he was there but not dressed as Chef, maybe you should call and ask .... let us know ....
