I don't normally stop at garage sales but today I did. They were selling the strangest things. I am surprised they expected to get money for some of it.

When I have a garage sale, I sell the things that I wouldn't expect to sell. And, the stuff I'd expect to go, doesn't.

well i just sold 3 boxes of slightly used side walk chalk this week

You know those packets of silicone beads that you get in the boxes of new shoes (and other items as well)?? Well, on our last garage sale my mother-in-law gave me various items to put in the sale along with a large ziploc of those silicone packets. Is there underground bootlegging of those suckers going on that I don't know about??

Needless to say, I threw them out. I think I was afraid I would meet someone who would actually want to buy them and then try to negotiate the price down. Like I would know how much they're going for at other garage sales...

My DH actually bought some individual, left-over tea bags at somebody's garage sale. He bought them for me. They were still in the paper, but ewwww. I thanked him for thinking of me, but I sure didn't use the tea bags!
See, there is always somebody out there who will buy anything.
He has brought home all kinds of stuff that we just had to throw out.
